Yuntab MK809III Bluetooth Android 4.4.2 RK3188 Quad Core Cortex A9 2G Ram 8G ROM HDMI Bluetooth WiFi TV Dongle Stick

I am partial to these dongles and I am willing to overlook user unfriendliness. This one has the best features for the price. However, it seemed to be DOA. I could not get it to work so I exchanged it for another of the same model, that also did not work. Or so I thought. In actuality, it comes pre-configured for a resolution that my TV did not support. I plugged it into a newer TV, where it worked beautifully, and where I was able to lower the resolution in Settings > Display. I then put it back in the first TV and it worked fine. There is no real documentation so if you are trying to use it in an older TV, you may think that it just doesn't work.The OTG adapter cable was not included and the USB cable that connects to the power supply is too short to be useful. I could not find the power button referred to in the so-called documentation.

This is not a robust as my Matricom GBox or DroidBox T8-S Plus but it isn't bad. I was able to watch several videos and it is a little slow but streamed video just fine. I had to adjust the settings on my WiFi router to use a specific channel rather than the default of "auto channel". I had to test a few to find one that worked well for me. This has solved my connection issues. It’s very possible that there are enough networks in my area on the same channel that they’re conflicting with each other. The device itself works fine now.Also, I can confirm this works great with a BobjGear Micro-USB-OTG to RJ45 Compact Fast Ethernet Adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012LSJ6IK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00). I haven't really tested this on more than video streaming but it works just fine for that.

Warning!! As others have reported, this stick has an over heating problem that causes it to shut down under heavy usage. I have 4 android sticks, bought at different times. The last two have both suffered from over heating issues. I have bought small fans to help with the cooling problem and even put slits in the outer plastic housing to allow venting and cool air from the fan blow through, as they have little or none in their cases. On one, this solved the problem completely, but this one, though it seemed to help at first, it has continued to freeze up and won't even respond to the reset button. Since I have modified the case to try to make it function like it should, it there is no returning it now. Look elsewhere for a android stick.

It works well, but I am not using it to stream anything so that could be why I haven't hit the overheating issues that other reviewers described. I am using it to run a kiosk for product demos in Google Chrome and it is doing great.

I didnt expect much and it still disappointed.

buy this if you want a device that constantly shuts off and on whenever it wants

This stick isnt worth the time buying. Ive used quite a few different steaming devices over the years and this is by far the worst I've ever used.The main issue is the wifi, it simply doesnt pick up the internet signal well enough to do most activities. On a speed test i was getting 1mb/s which is shocking. My firestick gets 36mb/s in the exact same setup.

Does not work at all. Very disappointed.

Segnalo due cose negative che ho riscontrato: utilizzando Kodi spesso il dispositivo si riavvia (collegato alla presa di corrente, ovviamente) e risulta difficoltoso (se non impossibile) connetterlo al wifi della TRE (se utilizzate un Cubo fate una prova, se possibile, prima dell'acquisto).Scheda di rete interna poco potente nella ricezione del segnale, provata poi utilizzando Fastweb come gestore ed a poca distanza dal router ha svolto bene il suo lavoro.Il sistema operativo viene riconosciuto "non originale" da alcune applicazioni impedendone l'utilizzo.Aggiornamento 2019: adesso non ha alcun senso acquistare una chiavetta come questa a causa della mancanza di aggiornamenti e della tecnologia ormai obsoleta; orientatevi verso un box esterno con android 7/8.
