Great and Easy for Synthetics. Not so much for natural fibers.
It's like magic. Though I will warn, it seems work much easier and thoroughly on synthetic fibers. Out of the 6 items I had totally ruined from forgetting a pen in a pocket and then having it explode in the dryer, 4 items were made of synthetic materials and were completely saved by Amodex. You can't tell at all that they had ink stains all over them in the slightest. It only took a couple minutes of scrubbing every stain on them to get it mostly out and then they fully disappeared after re-washing them. The last 2 items were more cotton based natural fibers, and it did not work that well on those, though maybe they could be saved with considerably more effort and time scrubbing each stain, but it's certainly not as easy or effective on those. (It takes much longer to scrub out as much ink as possible and have the paper towel become clear, and they are still pretty visible after the re-wash on those natural materials.)

The ink stain is gone
Helped remove a stubborn ink stain from a cotton shirt I got an ink stain on my 100% cotton shirt and ordered Grandma’s Stain Remover before washing it. The stained shirt had never been washed or dried, so the stain had not been through a dryer. I placed a cloth underneath the stained area to catch the ink, applied the stain remover, and rubbed it with a garage paper towel. Quite a bit of ink came off onto the towel and the cloth underneath, which was encouraging. Next, I used the rounded back edge of a pair of scissors—not the sharp cutting edge—to firmly work over the stain. That brought out more ink, and wiping the area again picked up even more. I could see ink coming through the back of the fabric, but a noticeable stain remained. I then used a socket with smooth, rounded edges to rub the stained area firmly. After that, I added laundry detergent and OxiClean and continued working the stain with the back of the scissors and the socket. Even after all that effort, some ink was still visible. Finally, I put the shirt in the washing machine on a two-hour heavy-duty cycle and added about a pint of bleach. When it came out, all the ink was gone, and the shirt had not faded or become discolored. I was very pleased with the final result. Grandma’s clearly helped lift a lot of ink during the initial treatment, but this was not a quick spray-and-wash cleanup. It took considerable rubbing, additional cleaning products, and a thorough wash to completely remove the stain.

Ink and stain remover lightens marks and requires considerable effort
The remover was tested on a pink oxford cloth shirt with a security pen ink mark and a separate black stain. It lightened both marks but did not completely remove either one, even with application and rubbing according to the directions. The treatment also takes considerable effort, making the process less convenient when the results are only partial. While some improvement was noticeable, the product did not produce the level of stain removal expected from a dedicated remover. The product offers poor value because the purchase quantity is small and requires considerable effort while producing only partial results.

Removed set-in red alcohol ink stain
Small bottle, perfect for carrying with you, with no obnoxious scent. I splattred red alcohol ink on my favorite sweat jacket while attending the art class. The bottle was easy to use, not messy at all, but I'd waited a couple weeks before buying/using the product. I had to scrub a few times over a couple of days, and was thankful it didn't leave any whitening on my light sage green jacket. The bottle screw top does not leak one closed, and the application was similar for me to coloring white leather jogging shoes. I think this product would work on most ink/stains since it was able to remove left on RED ink from mine. I did use a small brush, my nail to scratch it in, and with all that, it did remove the ink. Yes. I would definitely buy this again, and plan to use on any art marker, etc. stains.

Not Sharpie ink-Did remove blue pen ink
The product did not work on the green sharpie marker on 100% white polyester shirt. Note, the stain was washed and. Leaned with different products many times before I tried this product. HOWEVER I give this four stars because I tried it on blue ink from a pen on a dress where the stain was again attempted to be removed with many products and it was at least 3 years old. The product did begin to release the ink stain in large amounts and Faded it to not being quite noticeable. I worked at it for at least an hour and it continued to release the blue ink from the cotton/spandex material. I gave up because it seemed to be almost endless with the amount of blue ink that continue to come out of the stain. I'm sure that with some perseverance someone who was determined to completely remove the stain r Would eventually get it all out of the material.

Works great!
Some older set in ink/paint stains didn't come out. I might try working it in a few more times. But some mystery greasy spots my son magically gets in his shirt totally disappeared after 2 washes!! Will definitely buy again!!

Works great! Without harsh, toxic chemicals.
I purchased this to remove silver sharpie from black, lightly textured plastic. Seemed like a big ask. When I was ready to open this, I went out to the garage, opened the doors and put on protective gloves. I was expecting some serious toxic fumes. To my surprise the product was more like soap. I dabbed the ink mark with the Amodex and waited a few minutes. It didn’t really work. I was expecting immediate results. Like when using Naptha or alcohol. When in doubt-follow the instructions! I put a drop of Amodex, large enough to cover the ink mark, and waited until the next day. The next day I put another drop on the dried Amodex, to dampen the dried section and scrubbed it with a tooth brush. I let it set for a few hours and I wiped it off with a damp paper towel and the silver sharpie was gone. Awesome! I had 15 items I needed to remove the ink from. They were fairly small. I have quite a bit of the product left over. I just hope I can find the bottle next time I need it. Might be a long review, however I was impressed with how the product worked and that it didn’t need harsh, toxic chemicals!

Amazing ink stain remover
This stuff is amazing I wish I took a picture of my white shirt before, it’s was soiled and stained dark blue ink so badly it looked like the pen exploded in 4 different spots I wanted to cry, I used this stuff and almost immediately started to see it lift the ink I scrubbed and saturated it with this stuff and if you look at the pocket areas you can barely see it. I ordered 2 more bottles just to have on hand incase it ever happens again I highly recommend it. I also want to add that I took this shirt to 2 different dry cleaners who told me it would never come out and to call it a loss, as you can see it was saved !! Get this stuff it’s amazing

Worked Amazing, Cannot recommend enough
I’m so happy I ordered this product. I’m a Poshmark seller and when packaging an order of a vintage dress that sold I noticed an ink stain. It took 5 rounds of using this gel but the stain from how ever long ago lifted. Absolutely no discolouration in the garment either. This gel was a total life saver!!!

Best Stain Remover Saved My Tourers
Absolutely amazing product! I got gel ink stains on my trousers from washing them with pens on accident and its been months since I done anything about it because I seen people use alcohol which made it worst and I didn't want to risk it, however I got this stain remover and it works like a charm. I seen the bad reviews and honesty I think they must be using the product wrong because this is like magic (see pictures below). Mind you I also had these go in the dryer etc and it still after months managed to get most of the gel ink out, I will say if u look very very close you'll see a wee bit of it but honestly it's not bad and if you do it mutiple times unlike me who used it just once on my trousers it'll likely disappear all together. Very pleased because they discontinued making these trousers so I thought I could never wear them outside again. THANK YOU WHOEVER MADE THIS! (The picture after the stain remover still looks like it has white spots because it's before I put it in the washing machine once you was it those go away)
