This is the second mat I've bought, and I still love it. I bought two so that I could put one in the dishwasher and still have a mat out. I tried several other pet mats before this, and this is thus far the only one I've liked. I had a woven pet mat with a non-slip backing. The water sloshed onto that mat, and it ended up adhering to the wood floors. Next I tried a plastic mat with a lip. That one was fine initially, but was difficult to wash, and eventually warped. Then I bought this mat (the first one I bought was the same mat, but under their CatGuru label, which has nicer colors I'm hoping). The silicone is perfect. It doesn't scoot around on the floor, and the lip keeps water from sloshing over the side. The color and shape stays true, even after many trips through the dishwasher. They do tend to show dirt fairly quickly, but I don't mind, since it reminds me to wash it every few days, which I'm sure is a good idea anyway.

This product does deliver as in it serves it’s necessary functions. But somehow we would have bigger messes if something spilt on the mat. Like if water spilt on the mat we’d have a puddle under the mat as well. Not sure how but it did cause issues. We've put a towel under it and it seems to alleviate any possible issue. It does stain easily, but our cats can be heathens so not sure I blame the mat. It has been easy to clean, so any issues kind of get outweighed here.

We own three of these in two different sizes. Now we can control the mess our cats make when they eat & drink.

I use this under the food bowl so easy to clean the spills. I also sometimes put the food on it the dog eats it up.

Well...I wanted to love this mat, and it works just fine to catch any water our cats or dog spill out of their bowl, but when you pick it up, the water spills everywhere anyway. It looks nice though.
