HQRP Replacement Laptop Keyboard for HP Pavilion DV5-1000 / DV5-1100 Series Plus HQRP Coaster

keys keep coming off and are not uniformly arranged on keyboard.

My two-and-a-half year old has been plucking keys off my keyboard since I bought it just a few months ago. It finally got to the point where I could no longer replace or even find all of the keys. I didn't want to send my laptop back to HP for a replacement because 1.) I didn't want to have to wait for it to get there and back and 2.) HP whipes your drive when you send it in. So I went looking for a replacement on my own. After much reasearch I chose this. It is a fair price, it shipped quickly and it works well. I'm pleased with the product and would buy from the vendor again.

While the image presented in this ad is the picture of the keyboard I need, it is not the one the keyboard that I received. The left hand side keys from the caps lock down were shrunk to make room for slash keys that have no reason for being on that side. The right side keys are completely different, including an Enter key that is tall from top to bottom and not side to side. While this may seem petty, I've had this keyboard for three years and when it broke, I wanted a replacement. After two failed purchases from this company, I'll be seeking business elsewhere.

A friend spilled some water over her HP DV5 laptop and the keyboard stopped working. After searching and reading reviews, I decided to order this keyboard. It is not the cheapest, but it is not expensive at all. The keyboard looks and feels exactly as the OEM keyboard, and the installation was very easy, and it took about 20 minutes to install (being very careful not to scratch or break anything in the computer). The product does not include instructions, but a simple Bing search was all I needed to find installation instructions very quickly. If your DV5's keyboard is not working properly, this product is highly recommended. Seller shipped the product promptly and packaging was appropriate.

Very bad, my keyboard out color keys, dont like, don't have one year, no recommend. never the original keyboard have this problem

I had no clue where to begin to install this keyboard. My grandson had pulled key after key off my laptop. Some were easily replaced but other keys I could not get put back on. I work with a great pair of Geeks who gladly replaced the keyboard for me. I cannot not tell you how easy it is to install but the guys said it was not hard at all. I would however recommend purchasing a key cover to protect the keys from grandchildren and dust.

How in the world do you make a keyboard and not include these? I feel lost now when typing. Please be aware when purchasing this keyboard
