Maxpedition Gear Riftblade CCW-Enabled Backpack 30L (Black)

It's a great bag, but I wished it had a few more pockets inside. One to specifically hold passports; one that you can throw chargers and a portable battery in and go. It could be a little bigger, but I'll accept it for what it is. So far I've used it for 3 trips and it has held up.

I got this bag and the Tiburon - this bag although a few liters smaller - is laid out much better and can in my opinion handle more gear. I like the fact that the admin compartment is gusseted out at the bottom and can hold thick bulky gear. I upgraded from a direct action dragon egg bag and this new maxpetition riftblade bag can handle my gear a whole lot better than the dragon egg. Not that the dragon egg is not a good backpack because it is However, the rift blade is laid out differently and has more space. Again I cannot get over how much better this bag is than the Tiburon Although a few liters smaller.

Here are the things I look for... 1) Quality of materials and workmanship - 10/10; 2) Usability & practicality - 10/10; Can fit my 15 Dell Latitude 7390 - 10/10; Tactical look and feel - 10/10; Unusual and not expected features - 10/10 Just do your research... this bag is worth the money. Don't make the mistake I made in buying a cheaper bag only to return it to Amazon (granted they have a fantastic return policy). This is the bag to get if you are looking for Tactical EDC bag.

To be honest I am a bit biased when it comes to Maxpedition. I have several of there products and all are tough as nails and still look as good as the day I purchased them regardless of the abuse they have been through over the years. I travel a good deal for my job and I am always searching for a bag that meets all my requirements. I used my Osprey radial 34 for a long time and it was near perfect except for the lack of admin organization. I finally decided to give the Riftblade a go and it also gave me an exuse to buy another backpack. I may have a problem. overall I am very happy with the Riftblade. With the addition of the AGR bottle pouch and a second admin pouch attached organization is exceptional. The center hook and loop compartment holds a 15 inch laptop easily as well as a hook and loop pouch for my external hard drives, mouse case which I attached velcro to so it sticks to the flap and charger cable. Maxpedition did a good job utilizing some of the areas with additional enclosure areas for segregation and organization. So many backpacks have wasted space, so I find these additions a huge plus. I love that the waist belt is removable and even when it is in place it really doesn't get in the way of anything. I carry a lot of tech with me as well as a couple days of clothes when I travel so it can be a bit heavy. It does carry well though I find the straps do dig slightly on my shoulders but no more than other packs. I went into this purchase knowing there wasn't a dedicated laptop sleeve, but I find everything else is on point. Its really hard to go wrong with Maxpedition. You get what you pay for and I find the Riftblade to be worth every penny. I also know that this backpack will last for as long as I want to use it.

Purchased this backpack for the company’s Sturdy and Well made reputation. Took backpack on trip and after 1 week of use the stitching on the Backpack’s shoulder strap came undone. Overall, it is a very nice backpack. I enjoyed the size, pockets, materials and feel. I need a backpack that is going to last. I just don’t see how the current stitching on the shoulder straps is going to last a long time.

Straps could use a tiny bit more padding, and I would like to see a few more compartmentalized zipper pockets in admin section for small items, but still a great backpack. Love the center section with ability to customize with hook and loop.

I usually never leave a review. I wanted to love this bag, but ended up returning it. There are a few things to consider if you are going to purchase this pack and plan to use it for travel as well. Hopefully these will be addressed if they make a newer version (Update: They never addressed the issues). 1. The concealed carry compartment area should be able to dual purpose as a quick access for a 15" laptop compartment as well. For those of us that travel and want to use this bag for work as well would have to use the other outer compartments. This could be a challenge going through TSA as you would have to navigate a laptop in/out of a loaded pack. 2. The shoulder straps are EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE! I mean ouch. I had pain within 5-10 minutes of trying it out. They just dug into my shoulder/collarbone area. There is heavy duty stitching where the molle straps are located. The load transfers on the outside edges of the strap. What is funny is the padding is on the inside edge and lacking on the outside. This is ultimately what made me return the pack. I couldn't justify a pack this expensive having to hope it would break in. If someone says this is comfortable they are not telling you the truth. 3. The compression straps are not removeable and when not in use they just flop around (annoying). Removeable straps with D rings would be way better. This would allow you to store them away if not being used. Again, if you travel you may not need all those compression straps. 4. The bag is also a little narrow and would be nice to have a bit wider option. Say 35 or 40L. However, i must say it still holds a fair amount of stuff.

Para mi el tamaño perfecto para lo que la necesito, mido 1.80m y perfecto, ahí dejo una escala de un estuche de lentes y la mochila, no hay más palabras perfecto con lo respecta al producto. ------------------------ En cuanto a logística de Amazon, èsta mochila es la segunda porque la anterior me la perdieron y durò 1 mes el problema, ojalá puedan pensar más en el comprador y no tener supervisores como un tal Gabriel que hable con el el 22 de abril del 2023, qué no le importa el comprador solo es frío, y no le importa si el comprador sale lastimado. Ojalá amazon vea esas grandes fallas y las cure.

Pour moi il est parfait. Les passants molle de partout, la poche administrateur avec pleins de rangement, la poche tactique en velcro, le volume.... Tout, c'est le top (pour moi)
