From the manufacturer A saddle should fit like a pair of shoes! A prerequisite for maximum comfort and relief is the coordinated saddle width, so that it is guaranteed that your seat bones lie completely on the saddle. This is the only way to properly relieve the sensitive perineal area in men and the usually lower pubic arch in women. Available widths: 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 cm Sleek rear The raised back section provides more rearward support and ensures efficient power transmission. The level and lowered saddle nose applies less pressure to the sensitive areas of men and women alike. Center Dip The slight dip in the center of the saddle reduces pressure to the sensitive tissue areas of the perineum. Saving energy The wave shaped ERGOWAVE profile which contours from the rear to the front offers a perfect form-fit shape for most sitbones. The rider does not need to be seated in an inefficient and tiring sitting position and all energy can be used for forward propulsion. 611 Ergowave Carbon Weight-optimized The weight-optimised 611 ERGOWAVE Carbon was precisely matched to the requirements of off-road riding and perfected to meet the demands of all-mountain and enduro riding. At 150 g, it is the lightest model in the 611 ERGOWAVE series. Review: Comfortable, lightweight, exceptionally engineered. Best I've used in 30+ years. Long term review - Rarely if ever leave reviews for anything I buy, but thought this product was worthy of the time spent. Every ass is different, but here's my personal and long term experience. Even recently spent a week in Moab, and knocked out some huge rides, including a 5+ hour mission on the Whole Enchilada + a long ride back to the condo. I've used many different saddles over the past 30+ years of riding, sometimes opting for a more plush but heavy option, and sometimes going with a more featherweight ass torture device. The past 4+ years have been on the latter - a beautifully crafted 150g wonder - that has taken some getting used to. In fact I never quite did... usually starting a ride with thoughts of "this is somewhat painful... what's the least worst body position to make it tolerable for the next few hours". And ending with "my ass hurts". So I'd been exploring other saddles and decided to venture out of the usual few go-to brands, where I happened onto SQlab. The reviews were favorable, and the research and technology (in typical German fashion) was impressive. Since I'm in the planning stages of a ridiculously Gucci high end dream bike build in early 2020, (no... not a dentist... just addicted to shredding) I wanted something light, yet still comfortable for 3 hour rides. So I zeroed in on SQlab's more aggressive mountain bike saddle - the 611 - and followed their sit bone measurement video, then went to their handy chart, going with their suggestion to add 2cm (1cm per side) to my actual sit bone measurement. **NOTE** Don't hesitate to get this for your road bike (your ass won't know the difference), unless you see something in SQlab's lineup that makes more sense. When it arrived, I was impressed by the construction quality, AND the light weight. So far so good. I believe this is still just under or right around 160g. So I mounted it to my current ride to get the position and angle dialed in. I tend to run all of my saddles quite nose down, mainly because I do most all of my bending at the hips, not the lower back, and also to lighten the load on my taint and whatever the bloodflow to my man parts area is, and also to help hold my ass from sliding off the back of the saddle during steep climbs - without using arm strength. My initial assumption was that I would be able to use a less "nose down" position based on the design and the sort of shelf that your sit bones ride on. So I tried that, and it was fairly comfortable, a big improvement over the previous saddle. But before making a final decision on saddle tilt and position, i wanted to try to slowly and incrementally lower the nose of the saddle until it was definitely too much, and then start slowly backing up until the sweet spot angle was found. And to my surprise, the best angle was every bit as nose down as the previous saddle. When I hit this sweet spot angle, it was so noticeable, so pronounced that it was like the saddle was custom made for me. Could damn near hear the angels start singing. And my ass crying for joy. Do keep in mind that this is a minimally (but more than adequately) padded saddle, so this, coupled with the design that has a specific place for your sit bones to ride, means that it (may) have a fairly narrow sweet spot and angle for you. So watch SQlab's sit bones test video, go to their chart to select the correct width, and take a little time to experiment and get it dialed in for you. I highly recommend doing the "nose down" experiment that I describe above. One minor annoyance: This and I'm assuming their other saddles come with a rather large sewn in fabric tag with the 611 model etc that hangs down under the saddle like a flap. I suppose it's better than printing an advertising billboard directly onto the saddle, but I ended up carefully cutting it off with a fresh utility knife blade. Review: Rennsattel und auch noch bequem - Super Sattel, für lange und kurze Strecken, fühlt sich direkt anders an, im Vergleich zu anderen hochwertigen Sättel absolut top. Verarbeitung Super 👍🏻
