XCEL - Extra Soft Craft Foam Roll - Distressed - Grey, Size 54 Inch x 12 Inch x 1/8 Inch

I like the warm cozy slippers that have no inner sole but they are now made thinner and I can feel the tile grout lines. I developed painful areas on my foot sole where the metarsals connect. The podiatrist said the joint connection was inflamed from hitting the hard tile. I needed some sort of cushion so I bought this. Very easy to trim to size. In fact, I am now thinking of making my own slippers. This would be easy to sew into them. It is not slippery at all. My feet would stick to this product without socks. It needs a layer of material between this and skin surfaces. I haven't tried it as an outer sole yet but it should work well with a strong grip on surfaces.

I would recommend this foam for the advanced or experienced builder-this is a more challenging foam due to the rigid nature of the material. That being said, I just ordered two more rolls based on my original purchase experience. While I recommend entry-level cosplay builders start with easier material, this EVA foam is pretty incredible. This foam is dense enough to shape with a heat gun, sculpt and detail with a rotary tool, and maintain both a sturdy feel, and light weight. This is probably intermediate to expert territory, but even beginners will figure things out pretty quickly.

This is a great soft celled foam. I use it for padding in leather dog collars. As advertised, it has a few minor defects in the roll but so insignificant as to not warrant scrapping the foam around the defect. Easily hidden inside a lining.

It would get a 4 (not a five as it was not cheap) if the foam hadn’t literally had to sit outside for a week due to a VERY strong odor before I could start using it. Imperfections were/are easy to work around and cuts ok with a sharp scissor. The odor was strong and not pleasant.

I bought this to go under a rimless aquarium. It's thick and sturdy, exactly what I needed at a fraction of the "pet store" price. It was apparently cut from a bigger piece and the edges aren't quite straight, but it is slightly wider and longer than described so I was able to trim off the unevenness with a rotary cutter and get even 12" wide pieces.

Worked really well for what I used it for which was a replica of Meridia's Beacon to make my mom for her birthday (her favorite game is Skyrim), super easy to work with and very easy to trim/cut to shape.

Hello, the foam it was like you guys said, had some minor scratches other than that it was fantastic, it did help me to keep steady my cutting mat, although is not the right material for what i intended but has so many other uses for even cooler stuff. Definitely i will need more, and i do recomend
