Heng's 71111-C1G1 Standard Mount Universal Vent - White

Super nice looking vent, the difference in light coming in and appearance in my RV is beyond expectations. Easy to install, but not fun to remove the old ones useless you love digging through old sealer. lol my only concern is they seem a little flimsy. Time will tell how they hold up to the weather.

This vent was what the Dr orderd , perfect replacement for old 1 and almost all the holes matched so only had to make 4 new holes in the roof of my van

Good for 5yrs at the 6th yr it was leaking and a gust of wind took the cover off and it shattered when it hit the ground. Plastic was brittle. Not worth it to me I feel it should of lasted longer. Now I have to find a replacement.

I am giving this product 5 stars because its fine and most people will not run into this issue but I bought this exact same product last year for a different vintage camper I was fixing up and this time the inner plastic lining was shorter than the last time, it made no difference because i had not cut anything yet but if I used last year's product as a guide I would have had a problem.

Bought this unit to replace original roof vent on a vintage (70’s) RV. This unit fit perfectly and was easy to install. Works very well and looks great. l am very pleased with this unit and it was a good value

Not strong material but it does the job .

This is your basic vent. It does not come with any installation hardware or butyl tape so you'll have to get that on your own. There is a installation kit from JR products on amazon called "Deluxe Vent Installation Kit" that I would recommend as it comes with plenty of screws and butyl tape. There's another one that's cheaper but I think you'll come up short on the screws. You could always reuse the ones from the vent you're replacing, but I like to put in new screws. Installation was pretty easy and you can follow a video on Youtube called "How to Install & Seal an RV Roof Vent" for a detailed installation. You'll also need some self leveling dap roof sealant. I ended up using a full tube as I'm pretty generous when sealing. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward. It hasn't leaked yet and we've been through a decent rain storm.

The media could not be loaded. If you buy this vent from this seller you will regret it. It will last no more than a year and probably less if you actually use. Mine sat unused for a year and failed the first time I took the trailer out. This is not an easy install so you really don’t want to do it twice much less a year later.Their ads are misleading and filled with lies. And they will not even give you the courtesy of responding to your email. So don’t let the low price suck you in… you get what you pay for.I sent them this email and they never replied:“It lasted about a year. But only because the trailer sat unused during that period of time. I hitched it up over the weekend and when I returned home I found the dome had crumbled. I say crumbled because it appears the UV rays completely broke down the plastic. It didn't even come in contact with anything. I racked my brain to figure out what might have happened and my best guess is that the wind or bumps in the road cause the degraded plastic to disintegrate. So I climbed atop the trailer and touched what remained of the dome which fell apart in my hand. I pressed my finger on one of the shards of plastic and it actually crumbled into tiny pieces... almost dust. I have a video of this if you would like to see it”.I followed up with a return request hoping they would at least reply even if only to deny the request but no… they just ignored me altogether… zero customer service.They are intentionally selling products that they know will fail. They get away with it because by the time the item fails the return period has expired. They are ripping people off and should be banned from Amazon.I’ll post pictures and a video of the dome crumbling between my fingers.

Nice, relatively sturdy unit. Perfect replacement for the old unit. Should come with butyl rubber sealing compound and screws. I had to buy those separately at hardware store
