These seven books set in England at the time of the Reformation are brilliantly written. Amazing history included in the fictional creation of barrister Shardlake’s twists and turns with murder and mayhem. Nothing like it have I ever seen!

Brilliant writer

Started and finished book one "Dissolution" couldn't put it down. Now starting "Dark Fire". It's going to be a white-knuckle series. Enjoyable read.

can't put these books down got so immersed in the stories just had to read another chapter and another until before I knew it I was half way through the book.

If you like Brother Cadfael or The Name of the Rose, you should enjoy these books.

Good value

These books give us an insight to the history of the Tudors and Stuart’s and the effects that affect our own times. They are not dry history books but reveal an exciting time in our history and how much still affects our modern times.

Books in excellent condition

I feel as though I’m bound within the pages of these astonishingly brilliant and alluring books. What will I be when Shardlake vanishes once the final book is done?Very rarely have I felt such a connection with a series of books. I always take a break and read others to rest the storyline as they aren’t so compelling. Oh wow not with Shardlake. Samsons writing does not lag at all. I believe he fell into the world he knew due to his historical knowledge then wandered into that world absolutely. Traversed it’s landscape painted it then presented it.Oh bravo C. J Samson.

This review is only for the six-book pack of the Shardlake series, not an individual book in the series. However, after reading the first book, I am very glad to have the remaining books in this series since I really enjoyed the story, characters, and ending. The set of books arrived safely in a cushioned box and wrapped tightly with FOUR stretch films and strapped together (see photos). Each book was in pristine condition - perfect binding, pages, and covers. If you are a fan of Ken Follett and other Tudor Era historical fiction, then I highly recommend this series! This set will save you LOTS, as each paperback copy sells individually for around $15 or more.
