1) Unflatten folder so that it becomes a rectangle cereal box, then re-flatten to the other side.2) Stand box up with tabs towards you.3) Fold short side tabs into the box.4) Fold side with 3 tabs down into the box, at about a 45 degree angle.5) Fold side with 2 tabs down into the box, at about a 50 degree angle so that these two tabs slide under the 3 tabs, with a "pop" sound.6) Reach into box from the other end and flatten the longer tab sides down flat, so they lock together. Now push the shorter tab sides down, locking one into place with the remaining flap. The two shorter tab sides should not be visible from outside/bottom of the box - if they are on the outside they will make the box unlevel and wobbly. Only the two tabbed sides should be visible from the outside/bottom, and when locked together they lay perfectly flat.

When I opened these first I was very impressed. They looked high quality and they are very strong and sturdy. Assembly of the top half is simple but I couldn't figure out how to assemble the bottom. No matter what way I arranged the interlocking bottom pieces they didn't seem to stay in place.I ended up just taping them down with packaging tape which is not ideal because they don't sit on a perfectly flat surface. This would not be too bad if you have books in these organisers because the weight of the books will eventually flatten out the bottom.Unfortunately for me I wanted to use them to organise some lever arch folders\binders that were falling over on my shelf and the binders are too big for these organisers.I ended up cutting off the short ends of all of the organisers, gluing them together and putting the bottoms of them at the back so that the lever arch folders would fit. Took a long time but it worked out well in the end.

I had a marble theme in my home office and was looking for accessories. These were ok, easy toput together and sturdy enough for paperwork and some books.

Useful storage item

although I'd seen there were a decent amount of reviews, this is only really suitable for very small items and certainly not what is shown in the picture. its very easy to topple over. invest in a proper metal/plastic system rather than this.

Falls apart or over to easily

Very easy to assemble and quite sturdy for the material. Also lovely design.

These are sturdy and aren't likely to warp like some other cardboard files. I'll be buying these again.
