Better than nothing..but not much

It helped my husband be able to sit on the toilet when he had lost weight. Without it sitting on the toilet seat was painful.

I Have Been Using A Riser Since Having Right Knee Surgery Approximately 7 Years Ago Because Of Continued Rt. Knee PAIN, I Started With The Hospital's Formed Plastic Riser & The Height Definitely Relieved The Continuing Pain AFTER Surgery. I Tried Several Hydrocortisone Shots, But They Weren't Always Helpful. I Brought My OLD Version Of Riser With Front Lock, With Me, When I Moved. I Am NOW In A Senior Community With An Ergonomic Toilet! WOOT WOOT! The Water Holes (Recycling The Water) Are At The FRONT Of The Elongated Toilet SO My "Locking Riser" Would NOT WORK. After A YEAR & A HALF Of Research, I Decided On The BLUE JAY Because IT Was The ONLY RISER That (Almost) Met MY "WEIRD" Specifications. IT Has Been WELL Thought-Out For The Needs/Wishes Of Disabled Seniors & Poorly Designed, Ergonomic Toilets! I Wouldn't Say It Has Hooks/Loops To Secure IT To The Toilet Seat. The Padded Seat Has 2 VELCRO Straps That Secure IT To The Seat! Easy-Peasy. Since The Toilet Flushes Like A Geyser; The ONLY Thing, I Must DO Is Wipe The Inner Edge Of The Vinyl Cover. There Has Been NO Slippage Of The VELCRO Straps & It Is Slightly Warmer To Sit On Than Wood/Plastic On A Cold Morning. I Have Stuck To The Vinyl, Occasionally, When I Stand; But NOT As Badly; As Having The Seat Lift With YOU & Come Crashing Down At 4:30 AM.; Waking The Resident Above & Below Me! I HATE GETTING OLD, But THANK The BLUE JAY For Helping Me Manage The KNEE PAIN.

I ordered this initially so my guys balls wouldn't hit the cold porcelain of the toilet bowl. It worked great for that... And it's just a comfortable landing pad for any gender. Very comfortable to sit on. Easy to clean too, I rarely take the cover off. I set it in the bathtub, spray with disinfectant cleaner, use a little hand brush then rinse in the tub with shower head and let sit against the wall til dry

It’s way too narrow, I already sat on it and it’s busted

MY MOM (100 PLUS YRS) HAD VERY SERIOUS PRESSURE SORES ON THE SIDES OF BOTH LEGS THAT STRETCHED FROM BEHIND HER KNEES TO HER BUTT. I COULD NOT GET THEM TO HEAL' EVERY TIME SHE SAT ON THE POTTY CHAIR THE WOUNDS WOULD RE-OPEN. SINCE USING THE Blue Jay ‘Elevate Me Softly’ - Toilet Seat Cushion Riser, THE WOUNDS HEALED UP COMPLETELY IN JUST 3 DAYS! ! ! NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT SHE HASN'T HAD ANY NEW SORES DEVELOP. THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ELDER CARE OR FOR WHEELCHAIR BOUND PEOPLE.

I had high hopes that the cushioning and height were exactly what I needed.It was far from that.The plastic covering started coming apart about the third time I used it. Couple more times andone of the Velcro ties ripped the back of the cover.Now I must find a better one and hope for success.I would return it, but that's kind of gross.

Good material over all! ( although I will point out that the straps that attach the seat underneath are a bit too long which makes it a tiny bit complicated to place-the least of my worries) I recommend, fits its purpose.
