Awesome Product
I'm 76 years old and have seen quite a few products completely fail my expectations. But this one, just totally surprised me. I was expecting to cut and splice some of my facia boards because of the end rot and thought I would try this. Wow, is all I can say. I watched the YouTube video and then read the enclosed instructions. Really straight forward. It actually made the wood stronger. Drill holes and inject the liquid epox behind the rot area. Used a throw away paint brush and cut the bristles down halfway so the bristles were stiffer. Dab liquid all into open area and then when tacky, put the solid mix in the holes. Just painted over the damage yesterday, cannot tell any difference. Definitely a really great product.

Abotron Wood Restoration Kit
I had a home with several window frames that was rotten at the bottom of the frames. I purchase the Abatron Wood restoration kit and repaired my windows. I took my time doing the windows and to be honest you could not tell they were repaired. This stuff saved me several thousand dollars. A year later I sold the home and the home inspection mention how well the windows look for the age of the home. Strongly recommend Alatron Wood Restoration Kit. Easy to work with.

Works great - far superior to the alternatives
I had used this for a few years and found it to be effective and relatively easy to work with. But people kept talking about Bondo and Bondo-like fillers, so I thought I'd give them a try. What a mistake - they're incredibly malodorous and have a ridiculously short working time (by the time I mixed it thoroughly I only had a couple of minutes working time!). When you're repairing rotten wood, you need time to get it into the cracks and mold it to shape - a few minutes won't do. When I came back to the Abatron system, it was like heaven. Sure, it takes some experience to learn the ins-and-outs of working with it, and it doesn't adhere to surfaces without quite a bit of manual labor, but the fact that it barely has an odor, is very sandable, and holds up over time, makes it worth the expense. Sometimes you have to try the alternatives before you know what you really have!

Great product!
I love this restoration epoxy! It saved me a lot of work. I am replacing 14 windows in my 1900 home. Many of the window sills and trim were rotted at the ends and had a lot of weathered, raised grain on the surfaces. I was able to repair all of the sills and trim minus 1 sill that was completely rotted from end to end. It can be pretty messy to use. Make sure the area that you don't want any epoxy on is well covered. A word of advice from experience.....DO NOT USE NITRILE GLOVES TO MIX OR APPLY THE WOOD EPOX!!! The mixed epoxy becomes very sticky! You will not be able to apply it without pulling it back out of the area that you are repairing by accident. The stuff sticks to nitrile really well. Use a cloth work glove instead, it'll make your life a whole lot easier. If you are trying to skim the wood to fill checks, small holes, and voids, mix in a little liquid wood to the wood epox and use a putty knife to smooth it out. Have fun! I really do love this stuff, lol.

Excellent product. Performed better then expected
Excellent product. Performed better then expected. Needed it to repair some rotted and loose wood. Had a storm door that got caught in the wind and "ripped" the screws and mounting mechanism that attached to the wooden door frame right out of the frame along with a long piece of wood about an inch wide at the bottom to 1/2 inch wide at the top and 7 inches long, 3/4 inch deep. Rather then replace the entire exterior door and frame (which would have been very expensive as the door has decorative glass panels) I used this product to fill the new gaping hole. If you have not used this product, simply mix the two components in equal amounts. It creates what feels like a light "foamy" material. Upon first use, I thought this stuff will really not work so I mixed the material, filled in the bad spot of the door, and also made a "foam" ball to see how it would be in the morning. The next day, the ball was still light, however, hard as a rock. I was quite surprised. The material put into the gaping hole in the door frame hardened as well and it adhered quite nicely. I took a pad sander to it and sanded it smooth. Then primed and painted it and you can't even tell a repair was made. I have also used this to fill in an area of rotted plywood flooring and again, it worked great. I like the fact that is it pliable, sort of like Play-Doh, and you can mold and shape it. Bottom line is I found a product that I really like and will again as it works great. My background is also in home remodeling and I can think of 1000 uses for this product. Reviewed by G. Swanson.

Lifesaver! I'm 67 and had no problem handling this.
Unable to find a handyman who will do "small" projects like this and when I do get an estimate they suggest replacing the entire door (i.e. they don't want the job). Thanks to YouTube suggesting videos repairing rotting wood, this product came up quite a bit. So, I watched tons of videos watching how it's applied. Every one had a valuable tip that came in very handy and then I took the leap and gave it a try. The prep took a long time as this is a North-facing door and getting enough of a dry spell to feel the timing was right ate up quite a few weeks. Working with the wood hardener and the epoxy was not bad at all. It took quite a bit of epoxy to fill the deep holes I had but, for an older lady with a ton of patience, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Highly recommend!

Good quantity - for the price. Clear instructions and easy to use. We bought this product to restore 70 year old wagon wheels. We found this product in stores but the quantity was much less and we would be spending more money trying to buy the amount needed. The wood was very brittle when we got the wagon wheels - the liquid epoxy absorbed well and did a great job of hardening the wood. We have yet to stain/paint.

It works very well. The Liquid takes long time to dry, and the Woodepox will dry much sooner so must be quick to put it on and shape to whatever you like. Woodepox is easy to handle, however, need to prepare a lot of disposable gloves for Liquid. Overall, good product to fix old furniture and windows and doors.
