Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb: Brooklyn, The City Within

You cannot ever go wrong with buying a book about either (or both) of these photographers' work. Not only are their photographs amazing, their books are always beautifully printed and designed - treat yourself or a family member/friend.

All of Alex's remarkable photographs run across the gutter and the spine is rather stiff making them difficult to properly view.This was not the case with Hot Light/Half Made Worlds or The Suffering Of Light.

If you are a fan of Alex Webb’s work, do not hesitate...get this book! I promise, you will not be dissatisfied! 🙌🏽

...... what were you thinking? The gutter is never kind to the artist who sees through the viewfinder without any impression about what the chopped and cropped result of your input will be. Then you see the gutter as some kind of, what, clarification because the printed image at the resulting size will give commensurate meaning? But what has happened? The intricacy of the Webb pictures became diminished and confused; lost. This book is a mish-mash of indecision and misdirection. Every image in the gutter, the book - in the gutter. Don't do this, again.

Don’t buy this book. The horizontal photos run across the binding. It’s ruining the entire impression. Dunno why it wasn’t obvious to the publisher.

Beautifully made book. But the photography is disappointing. Alex Webb is an iconic name in street photography. These photos are mediocre, not to say worse. The other photographer included should not even to be considered to become published at this level.

I think it's important to value this work as a whole, it's a beautiful shared work between Alex and Rebecca, they capture different and special scenes. Also, it arrived earlier! <3

Big Alex Webb fan. This book doesn’t disappoint. The middle section by Rebecca is not on par with the rest of the book, but I guess others might enjoy it. The Alex Webb pictures are amazing though, some of his best work in my opinion. The book did arrive a little dinged up though.
