Worth every penny
I tried to save money by refilling my OEM Mercedes air freshener cartridge—big mistake. While it can be refilled, using anything other than the factory fluid risks clogging the microfilter/wick and ruining the unit. Considering how expensive the system is to replace, it’s just not worth the gamble. Stick with OEM. As for this scent—it’s excellent. Not overly cologne-heavy, not floral… just a clean, upscale fragrance. The best way I can describe it is like walking into a five-star hotel lobby. Very refined and subtle, and the system disperses it perfectly without being overpowering. Yes, it’s pricey, but in this case, you get what you pay for. If you insist on alternatives, I’ve heard alcohol-based scents are less risky—but most aftermarket oils are designed for reed diffusers and will damage the system. Bottom line: expensive, but absolutely worth it.

Little to no smell, color is wrong
I have had this smell in my 2017 S550 for five years and never had a problem. This particular one is a different color than I have ever got before, usually it has a gold tint to it not clear. There is little to no smell at all

Scent is very lite
Bought the downtown mood and I can barely smell it. Had to buy other fresheners to make up for the lack of scent. For the price you pay it’s not worth it. Will try buying at dealer to see if there is a difference.

Great scent but pricey…just like the car it goes in.
This is a great scent and really works well; however it is pretty expensive for what you are getting. The good news is it lands for a long, long time.

Great smell, as advertised.
This was my first scent in my S550 and it fits perfectly. I will be ordering another.... But this one is lasting much longer than expected.

Expensive but, does make the car smell great

No fragrance
I guess I don’t hate it because my car doesn’t have any odors but…I can’t smell any fragrance coming from this. Every now and then I smell something like a light vinegar but I honestly couldn’t explain the scent. In fact I think it’s the ionizer in the car that keeps the air clean and not this product.
