Initially it worked fine but now spinning is taking a lot of effort and stick making a squeaking sound. Can anything be done about it?

Could you please change with refills provided. Also, might be becoz of some rust. Apply little oil in the gap, so that u will not get sound and it will be free from friction. Am using more than a year.. no sound.. till now.. and easy to handle

aftet 3-4 mnths of using the Rod is not rotating i tried all the possible ways. I just want to know any suggestions how to. Open the rod?
