Bio friendly
Avid kayak camper. Do many multi day trips down rivers. I carry a 7 gallon bucket in the tankwell. It holds a bag of firewood with the lid closed and it also serves as my camp toilet with the addition of these bio bags and a couple pool noodles for a seat and there you have it. Sit as long as you like without fear of ticks and other critters nipping at your back door. These bags are perfect, they are long enough to drape over the bucket and hang held by the noodles. I will say be careful, handle with extreme care after your business is done because they're not heavy duty, not medium, very light. I've had some tear before i could successfully burry them. But the roll is compact, easy to use, does the job and it's bio friendly. I've been doing this for a long time and these are the only bags i use.

Great product to use with portable commode
For the last 4 years we’ve rented what’s called a semi-primitive cabin near the C&O Canal in Maryland every spring — that means it has electricity and well water, but also an outhouse (and no showers between Nov and April). Outhouses were not an issue until one visit it was storming day and night for 2 days, and trekking to the outhouse was no picnic. This spring we brought the Green Elephant portable commode and used it with the Trail Essentials biodegradable toilet bags. They worked brilliantly together! The Green Elephant commode was very sturdy and stable, and was a good height from the ground. The bags fit snugly over the top of the seat, and remained securely in place until they were removed. Because the bags were biodegradable, they could be dropped into the outhouse once the rain cleared. Highly recommend!

Great for boondock camping
This is a very useful product for "off the grid" camping. In our travels, we sometimes camp in areas without hook ups (water, electric, sewer). Nature still calls when in these areas, and rather than fill our tanks with smelly waste, we elect to use these biodegradable bags. The size is great, they're simply to use (line the existing toilet) and when done, being biodegradable, they're easy to dispose of. Great product for us!

Kind of hold strong for a short time
They do expire so be aware. Only buy them when going to use. They work great. But dissolves very quickly so make sure you have your hole prepared or it's going to get messy.

Very useful on road trips in Covid times.
Very useful on road trips in Covid times. Easy to use. Comes in a great carry case and fits easily in your suitcase or car. Biodegradable and Compostable so this ticks any concerns you may have. I ordered them before driving across the United States recently as I had to move from the East Coast to the West Coast. Besides being ideal for camping it is also great if you have kids, emergency stops and are in the car or want to avoid gas station bathrooms etc.

Great product!
We are avid and experienced outdoors people and we were looking for a way to meet our biological needs in the wilderness while adhering to the credo of “leave no trace.” We had tried compostable bags before, but found that they were so compostable that they started composting in our pack and were unusable by the time we needed to use them. Not so with the Trail Essentials toilet bags—they traveled just fine inside the included travel case and allowed us to do the same thing that the bears do in the woods with less impact on the environment than the bears make. Not only that, but we discovered that we can also use them with the porta potty in our off-road teardrop camping trailer when boondocking off grid. Congratulations, Trail Essentials, for providing an eco-friendly essential for our needs on the trail! Myrian & Eric @ontheroadtogether.online

If used after some time in storage, these too-thin bags rip
These are very biodegradable. Like thin biodegradable plastic bags for produce at certain eco-conscious supermarkets, like Trader Joe's. Alas, they are a little too biodegradable. I had them carefully stored, for 3 years, then pulled them out to use on camping trip. They had "biodegraded" so that all of them ripped upon touching (even very carefully). Probably they are sufficiently strong when new so as to not rip. But, since a rip in the field is disastrous, can you trust them? There is no shelf-life disclaimer in the Amazon product page. So, buyer beware, and be prepared.

Durable and convenient
These toilet bags are super easy and durable to use! They are leak resistant and can hold a good amount of waste! The bag is convenient to keep them in, too!
