this mug leaks and is too big around for small hands to hold and push the button while drinking!
So, my parents bought me the innate kaze thermos in pink and it was awesome. i would put hot coffee in it at 7 in the morning and it would still be hot enough to enjoy by like 2 or 3 in the afternoon. i had it for a couple years till i broke the top trying to beat some ants off of it that were crawling all over it at the playground. *sigh* It was so leak proof i would actually throw it in my nice leather purse full of hot creamy coffee. I could trust that if my kids knocked it over, it would not spill at all. the only problem with it was that the pink was coming off and it was starting to look a bit ghetto. so i thought i should purchase another one but in plain stainless. they only have them available for prime in pink and they are out of the stainless. i don't think innate actually makes them anymore... bummer! i figured their products would be pretty reliable as far as leakage goes so i went for this one, available on prime, in stainless. i think they have the "idea" for this one on the right track but it is no good. first, the container is too wide. you have to be perpetually pushing the yellow button on the side to take a drink but since i have small hands, my hand is nearly cramping to hold the mug and push the button to take a drink. then, the coffee leaks out! it looks like there is a pretty solid silicone gasket underneath the lid but it doesn't seem to seal well where the yellow button is. So even if you have everything screwed together properly, it leaks out the little hole on the side. also, when you take a drink and close it, usually a teensy bit of the drink is still left in the lid, so even though the lid is closed and no coffee is spilling out the very top from the inside of the container, it will still drip from whatever was left behind from taking a sip. i just don't get how they can't figure out how to make a coffee mug that doesn't leak in this day and age... especially since they're 2012 model worked so well. innate you need to make the kaze mug again and discontinue this one, or do some serious redesign on it!!
