Portable thermostat.
Easy to install and set up. Carry thermostat from room to room and get the exact temperature you want in the room you are using.

Much improved on the old model.
Much easier to set up than the old RT 510 RF model. Very clear display and you can now set up 7 days at once. The old model only gave you a choice of separate days or 5 days+2 days. Interestingly, this model will pair with the RF510 receiver so if your using the RF510 and are thinking of upgrading that's a bonus. Pairing is much simpler than the old models and I had this set up with my schedule and paired to the RF510 receiver in under 30 minutes. Well worth replacing the old models.

Good delivery and value,
Big display any problem with functions quickly resolved from Salus. Wire to the mains socket from the receiver and two wires to the boiler , if competent simple to do and thermostat should auto connect, works well. Update... On putting on Central heating for first time this Autumn noticed service mode on which is part a Landlord setting on thermostat, having a bit of a brain-dead period got in email touch with Salus. So after 6 mails back and forth within 24hrs, so Richard Peel from Salus informed me of the blinking obvious Landlord pin 0000 and off all back to normal. Haven't a clue how this happened but a company can live or die by it Support this one certainly does not

Simple and effective
I now have 6 of these in two different properties. I rate them highly. Very simple to set up, large display screen, allows you to program up to 6 periods of temperatures daily, with an additional holiday setting. I use them for individual control of electric room radiators. Being reasonably priced they offer great value for money.

Clear display and excellent features let down by laughable setup instructions
Easy enough to install to a hard-wired wall mount position. Fortunately I have had a similar Salus product so programming had a familiarity to it. The unit is set up by first entering basic details: language, type of system being controlled, time and date etc. You can set one of three day groupings: 7 day 5+2 and individual. There are 6 time/temperature slots. Each is entered by entering the hours, minutes and temperature followed by pressing the "tick". It doesn't tell you, but if you do not want to use 6 time slots, setting the time to max (keep pressing the UP button) will disable the slot. Handy if you just want a day/night programme. A really annoying feature here is that the time-out in programming mode is really short, so if you take too long in entering a button press, it kicks you out of program mode. The temperature window (difference between on and off) can be set to 0.5 and 0.25. This basically means a 1 degree control band or a 0.5 degree control band. The unit tries to emulate a PID controller. I found it to be excellent in holding a temperature window. It suggests in the manual that it has a learning mode where it learns the response of the system but I don't see how in my case it would actually make it perform any better. If you just want a simple thermostat, you can press the manual button and the hand signal will come on. then you can turn the temperature up or down at will and it will sit there for ever. It doesn't tell you in the manual (manual???) but you get out of manual mode by pressing the manual button for 5 seconds. There is an undocumented Holiday mode which I assume allows you to suspend the programming for a single set temperature for a predetermined number of days but I haven't tried it yet. Also there is a +1 button which you can press when running a program to give a temporary change in temperature for as many hours as you press the button. Temperature can be set highter or lower followed by pressing the "tick". This is also not documented. This programmer appears to use the same controller as the Salus RT520RF which you can find here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Salus-RT520RF-Wireless-Thermostat-White/dp/B07HQD71YB/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2GQEXSPPB51CR&dchild=1&keywords=salus+rt520tx&qid=1604164806&sprefix=salus+rt520tx%2Caps%2C199&sr=8-2#customer Reviews along with many more reviews. I hope Salus have resolved the issue with the clock regulation otherwise it's not much use! Otherwise, first impressions, it looks good and does what it should. Provided the clock maintains good time and also that you can grasp the programming, then with it's 5 year warranty, this represents in my opinion, excellent value for money! Follow up: been installed a couple of months now and clock accuracy is excellent. Just needs a decent manual and would be 5*!
