Floating shelf brackets made the job so easy, we have fitted a floating shelf before by fitting steel rods in the wall and then sliding shelf on the them, messy and time consuming as we had to wait for cement to harden over night. With the brackets a quick drill job, screw to wall and slide shelf on.... Job done.

They look good. The angles of the welding weren't all the same (slight slope up/down) on some. as most people will use them invisibly as long as you shelf is wide enough to take a slight variation in the hole (slop it a bit) I don't suppose this would matter. We are going to put shelves on top and will either use felt on the back or chase a little out.

These are not expensive and a great idea, on two of the four brackets I bought the welds broke, still usable.

We needed these to put up an extremely heavy piece of oak as a mantle and they were exactly what we needed.

The product has been terribly manufactured. Each bracket has been welded in two small places so it didn't take a lot for them to come apart. Two of the brackets were loose out the box. I've had to give them all to a friend of mine, who's a welder, to file them down and weld them together again because I don't trust that replacements would be any better. I used a 14mm drill bit to prep the holes in so it's not like they didn't have room to breathe. I do not recommend this product. It's a shame as the size of the brackets is perfect for heavyish duty shelving but the quality is absent.

The welding between the back plate and tube is very poor (just two small separate pieces holding both elements of the brackets together) I have had two just pop off while trying to install floating shelves. Poor quality, i wouldn’t trust these to take any real weight. Personally I would look else where for sturdier brackets
