I expected a few scratches and minor blemishes but the unit I received was clean and pristine inside and out. It also worked great and came with the high capacity battery that was also in great condition. The only problem was receiving a T430 instead of the T430s, but I was so delighted with the condition and performance unit that I wouldn't think of returning it. I'd definitely buy another one of these refurbished units again as the price can't be beat and the condition of the delivered produce was outstanding.

I've only been using the computer for two days; so far, so good....but I have not fully tested all the components and features. The computer arrived as promised, it appeared to be a new computer--no scratches, no smudges, no signs of wear at all. First, I charged the battery for eight hours, as per instructions. Then, set up was easy and did not take long at all. After charging the battery fully, the run time on the battery is not what I had hoped for--it appears to be only about 2 1/2 hours--I hoped for 4 -- 6 hours run time. Nevertheless, for the selling price, I understand that the refurbisher, SkyTech, cannot afford to put a new long life OEM battery in the computer.I haven't had the need to contact the seller for any reason, so I cannot speak to their response time, or the quality of the service they offer.Nevertheless, with the information and excellent experience I have at present, I must enthusiastically give this seller and the computer 5 Stars.Thank you, SkyTech!!

Laptop will not power up. Comes to a black screen only

This one was to replace one that I got in 2015. I love the reliability and quality of Lenovo!

Device arrived without the Fingerprint Reader shown on the item page.Previously ordered a T430s from the exact same Amazon page (but from "IT Supply Guy" instead of TekRefurbs- appears seller changed names? Item price has also gone up over $100 since then but item listing is exactly the same- so this device is overproced for its age) and device DID come with a Fingerprint Reader. The pictures of this device on the current item page all show a Fingerprint Reader, and it is mentioned in previous reviews of this item on the page, so should have been included with this device.Item price is also high for such an old device which replacement parts are no longer available for- something learned hard way when spilled water on previous T430s and no replacement parts were available to restore device to full functionality (Asurion wanted to "salvage" device for parts despite device still turning on and working, as no replacement parts could be found and the water apparently caused internal damage/corrosion to parts)- something which reduces the value of the device (don't expect to be able to get the device repaired if any parts break!)EDIT: Contacted and heard back from seller, received prompt and courteous reply. Resolution not ideal (fingerprint reader was important for protecting highly confidential information that will be stored on the laptop), but received an explanation, and courtesy/speed of reply helped towards making the experience better.

I bought this Laptop for my Mother when her old Windows 7 desktop finally kicked the bucket. She, and I, were amazed at the quality of this refurbed ThinkPad. It is pristine. I was looking on Craigslist and FB Marketplace but decided Amazon refurb was the way to go. The Windows licensing was my biggest concern with Craigslist and FB Marketplace. Powering up this certified refurbished laptop was just like it should be! Now, I might have to upgrade mine! Can't have my Mother having a faster Laptop than my older ThinkPad! :-)

This laptop is a fail in several important regards. First as a 14 inch screen I expected this machine to have the super ease of mobility that my 13.3 inch lenovo has. But it might as well be a 17 inch screen for its problems with ease of use anywhere. First it has a touch pad that's uncentered to the keypad, so I make far more errors typing. The touch pad requires you you to right click on the extreme lower right hand edge to respond. And this is simply the most uncomfortable laptop for working on propped up in bed. All its edges are sharp and it bottom service is very slippery so it shifts around constantly. I've been a fan of Lenovo but this laptop tells me its time to shop around.

Built to last, and it did. It was older machine used for education I believe. Of Course also Windows 7 at the time.

Great Laptop for the price, I use it for Solidworks and it performs very well. The only issue is its short battery life. Keep your charger on hand.

I waited over a week and then the laptop wouldn't boot up. Contacted company and they sent return shipping label. Now I wait for reimbursement. Need to start over again. Maybe better to buy local.
