WORKS for my Aussie!
Bought this for my two dogs. I live in a neighborhood where the UPS and delivery people frequent. And new neighbors are outside a lot next to my yard. I have a 9 year old Aussie and a 14 year old Shi -Tzu. Right out of the box, put batteries in and took dogs outside. My neighbors were having tree work done outside, so many men making lots of noise. They both headed for the fence to raise some hell at the workers... I followed with device in hand. I said to them both "No barking" and hit the button. IMMEDIATELY my Aussie ducked her head and shook it and backed away from the fence, did not bark. I could tell the sound irritated her badly!! My Shi -Tzu, who is hard of hearing: hit and miss for him. Remember, ONCE THE BARKING STOPS, STOP PRESSING THE BUTTON> and DON"T PRESS IT UNLESS THEY ARE SHOWING THE BEHAVIOR YOU DO NOT WANT> I could see this being used as a training device as well for other unwanted behaviors. I was about 6 - 8 feet from my Aussie; and had to get right up on my little guy and press the button. He kind of stopped the loud barking. But was huffing under his breath. But that's just him, he is cranky!! LOL Subsequent times outside, same thing happens. And honestly now if I say "no barking" my Aussie will stop or never start. It is a miracle device for me. I have had food delivered to the house, and this device is wonderful. Keeps them quiet. I will say with my Shi- Tzu I do have to be closer and he is not as responsive to it. But again he is older and very cranky. with strangers. Not much will help him!! So bottom line; for the money it is not really expensive. It is easy to use, keep in your pocket. It is light and feels nice in your hand. Can take with you on walks. Battery life seems to last for quite some time. Have had it for a month now and haven't needed to change the batteries yet. FOR ME it has really improved things. And has been used as a training device as well when accompanied by a verbal command. I think it will depend on your dog and depend on you being very consistent with it. Just like any training you do with your dog. It is NOT a cure all for barking, dogs bark. But it will help in those instances when you need them to stop. Good luck!! :-) I have not been paid or compensated for this review. .

Ineffective and Unreliable Dog Barking Deterrent Device
I recently purchased the Ultrasonic Dog Barking Deterrent Device in hopes of controlling my dog's excessive barking, but unfortunately, it has proven to be highly ineffective and unreliable. This device falls short in delivering on its promises and does not provide the desired results. First and foremost, the device's effectiveness in deterring barking is questionable at best. Despite claims of being able to control barking for dogs of all sizes, it has had little to no impact on my dog's barking behavior. The ultrasonic sound emitted by the device seems to have no effect whatsoever, making it essentially useless in addressing the barking problem. Furthermore, the bark control range of only 16.4 feet is extremely limited. This severely restricts the device's functionality and makes it practically useless in outdoor settings or larger indoor spaces. In situations where my dog barks from a distance or in larger areas, this device fails to provide any deterrent effect. The overall build quality and reliability of the device are also disappointing. The device feels flimsy and cheaply made, lacking the durability necessary for long-term use. Additionally, the device's battery life is unsatisfactory, requiring frequent replacements and adding to the ongoing cost and inconvenience. The LED indicator, meant to provide feedback on the device's operation, is inconsistent and unreliable. There have been instances where the LED failed to indicate whether the device was functioning correctly or not, leaving me uncertain of its status. The inclusion of a wrist strap is a minor consolation, but it does little to compensate for the device's overall ineffectiveness and lack of reliability. In conclusion, the Ultrasonic Dog Barking Deterrent Device is an extremely disappointing product that fails to deliver on its promises. Its ineffectiveness in controlling barking, limited range, poor build quality, unreliable LED indicator, and short battery life make it a regrettable purchase. I would not recommend this device to anyone seeking an effective and reliable solution for managing their dog's barking behavior. Investing in alternative training methods or seeking professional guidance would likely yield far better results in addressing excessive barking issues.

It really does work!
We have a a very well behaved chihuahua mix, but with one minor flaw. Whenever the doorbell rings, or someone knocks at the door, she becomes demon dog and goes nuts and won't stop barking and howling. Then she rushes toward the door and continues to bark and howl at whoever is there. It is so embarrassing trying to talk to guests when you have a dog barking non stop. We have resorted to putting her in our walk in closet whenever we know a guest or delivery person is coming. We tried all types of training, but nothing worked. Okay, so I decided to give this device a try and I was VERY skeptical. I had my son walk to the front door and ring the door bell, which set our dog into a frenzy. I pushed the button and what happened was nothing short of amazing. My dog stopped in her tracks, made a beeline back to her bed and sat down and just stared at me. I stared back. I was speechless. Then I realized I was supposed to say something in order for her to associate the sound with a command. I had my son ring the door bell again, and of course my dog started barking, but this time I used the word "hush" as I pressed the button. This time she walked away from me and sat down on her bed. She actually stayed on her bed as I went to the front door to let my son back in. Usually, she will run to the door the moment I open it. I cannot say enough good about this product, mainly because it is very easy to use and it really does do what they say it will do as long as you follow their directions on how to properly train your dog. We have had this device for a few weeks and it only took a week of training for our dog to understand not to bark when people came to the door. With this device we were able to train our dog to only bark once to alert us that someone is at the door and she immediately settles back into her bed and waits for us to go to the door to see who it is. No more non stop barking and howling. No more rushing to the door to bark at the guests. No more stress. Honestly, I think this should be a mandatory device to be given to anyone wanting to adopt a dog. It will save your sanity. Highly recommend!

Works....sometimes!
This device has definitely worked to help deter our dog in the past, however, after years of use, I will say that it is less effective over time as she has gotten used to it. And, if she is really anxious about something, her barking will not stop even if we use this. I think maybe if you started training with this at the beginning when your dog is a puppy, you could stop the behavior before it becomes more problematic.

Works great at first
I thought I'd found a miracle when I got this. It was so effective all I had to do was give it one "beep" and my dog would stop barking. And if I even attempted to hold it, she would notice and not bark. I accompanied the beep with a "no bark" command. It got less and less effective and now, a few weeks later, it is totally ineffective. She is a perfect dog, very obedient, except for extended, loud, obnoxious barking (even yipping which is so annoying) when people arrive in our house or when she sees another dog while out walking. It's not fear-driven or because she is protecting the house (I don't mind that), it's just excitement. I sure wish it worked! I give it 5 stars the first few weeks and no stars after that.

Stunning results!
Wow. This thing almost scares me because I only used it once and my worst barker hasn't barked when drive alarm goes off ever since. Granted, it's only been a little over 24 hrs, but you would just have to know my dog. We have 2 labs (4 yrs old and 9 mo old), and I have my daughters lab here during the day when she works, but her dog is not a barker. My 4 yr old is labeled "Hypervigilant" by an experienced trainer and she studies and writes articles about dog psychology and behavior disorders. When we got the puppy last spring, we chose a calm breed of labs (like my daughter's) because one hyper dog is more than enough. It wasn't long and I began to see some of the negative behavior traits in the puppy that the older dog has. (The trainer did an evaluation and feels the puppy's disposition will win out.) The hyper one I've called high anxiety at times also. Sedatives from the vet do nothing to calm her. Nothing we have tried over 4 yrs has been 100% successful. We've worked with 2 highly experienced trainers. The first one, a K-9 instructor, was so baffled and challenged by her he had to consult with other experts in the field. The problem: the hyper one is a loud barker when she knows someone has driven in or is at the door. This is great for security reasons, but in all honesty, it is greatly affecting MY anxiety. I now wear hearing aides and her sudden lurching and loud, aggressive bark sends my heart racing. The adrenalin rush leaves me shaking. The trainer told us we might not want to stop that behavior because it's a protective behavior. I've tried for 6 months to find a way to live with it, but my reaction to it seems to be intensifying. So I broke down and bought this gizmo. It works exactly as described. My dog was confused looking all over to see where the sound was coming from, but she stopped barking! Now, when someone is at the door, I'm not using it--just when she hears the drive alarm because it's a long drive and it's 3-5 min before someone is at the door. That 3-5 min of loud, aggressive barking is what I was not handling well. Now, the 9 mo old did not have quite the same result. He actually became more hyper, jumping around like crazy when he heard the sound. BUT, he stopped his hysterical barking after Hyper Dog stopped. It does scare me a little as to why the dog does not want to bark at all now when the alarm goes off. I am expecting that if it goes off at night it will still set her off--at least I hope it does. But this will be nice for when people come in or I'm trying to talk to someone at the door.

Best Of The Bunch, Works On ~4lb Teacup Chihuahua
My friend had a similar product (Pet Agree) which worked fantastically for keeping dogs away from his small child at the dinner table. (She would throw food on the ground and while the canine vacuum/mop was appreciated it became a distracting dog frenzy every time they ate). I was so amazed I wanted to give it a whirl. Here’s the rub: it only worked on 2/3 of his dogs, however his chihuahua did not hear it at all. Having only a small chihuahua of about the same type myself, I went on a search for an ultrasonic trainer that covered more of a frequency range. It seems many chihuahuas don’t have the ultra high pitch range many other dogs do. This looked like the best of the bunch so I gave it a try and can confirm it works on both his and my chihuahua. If your dog completely ignored other ultrasonic trainers, you might want to give this one a try. There’s not much else to say really for a product that does only one incredibly specific thing, but I liked that it came with AAA batteries (who has 4 fresh AAA batteries lying around?) and it has a sleeker Design than the competition. The only minor drawback was the lanyard leash/string is pretty fiddly and I gave up completely trying to lead it through the loop on the device. However, I can live with that. If you require a leash of some kind to keep it on your person, I’d get a couple off of Amazon along with this to try and dispose of the one that came with the Modus.

Works surprisingly well, but please be cautious....
I honestly didn't know if this would work or not, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. Our neighbor's dogs are always out barking at us when we are trying to enjoy our time grilling and we can barely hear each other over them barking. As soon as I heard the dog run over to the fence and start barking, I pushed the button and literally within 2 seconds the dog stopped barking. He paused for a min and barked again and when I pushed the button for a second time he stopped and ran away from the fence which never happens. I was thoroughly impressed and elated that we could finally enjoy our time outside in peace without the barking. I gave it to a co-worker to try who was also skeptical, but after I told her what happened, she was eager to try it on her pugs who won't leave the neighbor's dogs alone when they're out. She tried it as soon as she got home and they too also stopped and moved away from the fence, did their business and went back inside. Her mom's dog however was a different story. Her mom's dog is older and any loud noise in general scares it into having minute long seizures. She said when she turned around after having successfully used it on her dogs, her mom's dog was on its side, having a seizure. It lasted for a minute but then was ok. She won't be using it again since her mother's dog is always around her pugs and she doesn't want it to have another seizure, but she was impressed with what the device could do. I myself have tried it at work to see how it would do on the dogs that bark excessively and it seems to only work on dogs roughly 2yrs to 9yrs. As dogs age, just like people, their hearing changes and they can't hear at certain decibel levels. This doesn't mean that it will only work within these age ranges because each dog is different. I will say to be cautious with the sensitivity that some may have to sound as it may have an adverse affect. You can't personally hear the high pitched noise as when you push the button you can only really hear what sounds like a soft static noise coming through the little speaker, but obviously since a dog's hearing is better than a humans, they can hear the intended noise. Wouldn't hurt to give this device a try and if it doesn't work for your dog, it may work for your neighbor's.

Wow! Impressed.
Works great. Especially in and around the house. It’s so good that I no longer have to press the button. In fact I don’t use it at all. All I do is show it to my dog and he obeys. Even if I’m holding any remote control or anything that is black, he is now well behaved. In stating this, it’s a different story when walking the dog and he sees another dog. But for training this is the ideal product.

Marvelous
My dog barks. A lot. He barks at people, animals, inanimate objects, the door bell. For the past year he's taken to barking when my phone rings and will not stop until I end the call. As I'm hard of hearing my phone conversations are difficult to say the least. I came upon this product by accident and decided to give it a go. It arrived a day or so ago and I waited for a phone call. As soon as he started to bark I pressed the button to activate the device. Instant, and I mean instant, cessation of barking. That's it. Used it once and once only. Now if he looks as if he's building up to a barking session, I pick the device up and let him see it. He just lies down at my feet and dozes. Reward him in whichever way you see fit. For me and my dog this product works brilliantly. Whether that's the case with all dogs, who knows? It's working for me and selfishly that's all that matters. Funnily enough although the frequency of the sound emitted is beyond human hearing, when you are wearing hearing aids that doesn't apply.

SOLDI SPESI MALE
Nulla, soldi sprecati

Effective and Humane Solution: The Ultrasonic Dog Barking Deterrent Device
I recently purchased the Ultrasonic Dog Barking Deterrent Device, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! This device is a game-changer for dog owners and anyone who wants to deter barking dogs in their neighborhood. The device is easy to use and extremely effective. Whenever a dog starts barking excessively, I simply turn on the device, and it emits a high-pitched ultrasonic sound that only dogs can hear. This sound is very unpleasant for dogs, so they quickly learn to associate their barking with the unpleasant sound and stop barking. What I love about this device is that it doesn't harm the dogs in any way. It simply helps to train them not to bark excessively. Additionally, the device has a range of up to 50 feet, which means I can use it from a distance if necessary. Overall, I highly recommend the Ultrasonic Dog Barking Deterrent Device to anyone who is dealing with excessive barking from dogs in their neighborhood or even their own pet. It's an effective and humane solution that really works. I give it a 5-star rating and would purchase it again in a heartbeat!
