This book was amazing and changed my life. I would recommend it to anyone. I have already recommended it to family because of the impact it had on me. It really sparked my curiosity and so now I have ordered 4 more books all on social psych and body language. As an introvert and someone who was never taught how to communicate I have lived a life of loneliness. Now I understand that I can easily learn the skills needed to develop strong relationships in business and my personal life. Thank you Ian.

Effective communication is an essential tool to possess in today's world. Being able to articulate your views and express yourself is critical in business and personal relationships. This book does an effective job at looking at all the different mechanisms of communication, from actual verbal talk to non verbal cues such as body language. The subject matter is covered in great detail and depth. Well written. Highly recommend.

I find the examples peppered with too much of one's own experiences, more examples of applying to real life in different situations would have been more helpful

Just finished the book and all in all it was a good read! Some of the chapters felt like review or “common sense”. BUT I found plenty of chapters to be incredibly insightful and practical. Something I look for in the books I read is how practical the teachings can be in our day to day lives. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of actionable advice given within this book. Finally, YES. Yes I would recommend this quick read to anyone and everyone. A few of the chapters I will even go back and review from time to time.

When I first purchased this book, it was because I had a need to learn to communicate better. I expected the read to be boring, but knew it had to be done. As I began reading, that need soon turned to a want. I wanted to read and learn more about communicating. Ian, your writing, the way you explained the different ways to communicate, made it easy to read and learn. I also learned a lot about myself and was able to apply these learnings instantly upon reading them. I look forward to reading more of your books. Thank you!

I love this book. I always thought of myself as a great communicator and this showed me that I can still do better. I didnt know knowledge like this existed. If you seriously care about an environment of harmony and teamwork in your home and workplace then you need to read this incredible book! This book helped me to speak to people in an effective way that gets my points across smoothly and clearly. Good insight into the art of communication.

In my humble opinion, for a communication skills training book, this book is not very well written. Nevertheless I think I could have overlooked that fact had I not realised half way through, that a lot of its content is a word by word copy of Dan O’Connor’s book ‘Say this not that!’ and his YouTube channel. I had to stop reading as the boldness of this shameless attempt of plagiarism was simply too much for me....

I would recommend this special little book on how to become a better communicator. Really love this book as I'm a shy person and always felt that I can't speak well but this book has given me lots of advice how to change his perspective. Go on and try the book!

Easy to read with simple explanations,no vocalbury needed for understanding. Reading it felt like someone was talking to me in a simple way to understand things,while maintaining professionality,with a pinch of fun. Not too long either.

I came across this book when searching for literature on getting the most out of ordinary conversations. This is a thorough and practical book on a topic that has been given remarkably little attention. It is easy to read and has given me plenty of material to work on to become more communicative.

This was my introduction to the world of communication skills and I found it very useful. Learning about Metaprograms and seeing things from other people'e perspective and communication obstacles were particularly thought provoking. Overall, It is an excellent book to start your communication skills training journey with.
