Wisenet SDH-C84085BF 8 Channel Super HD DVR Video Security System with 2TB Hard Drive and 8 5MP Weather Resistant Bullet Cameras (SDC-89445BF)

This is the 3rd set I've had. First one was done on my last house, I added another set to a family members house, and my current house. The quality is excellent as well. The night vision is great for me especially since one of my street lights will go off after a few minutes. The motion sensitivity isn't my favorite... I've turned this feature off on all the cameras except one. It's extremely sensitive even at the lowest setting. If dust flies in front of it, it will detect and notify you. I will typically mute notifications until night time. Also a good thing to keep in mind with these systems, they need to be wired directly to your modem/router for remote viewing with an ethernet cable. The app is very easy to use as well and allows me to view when I'm away.But overall, if you're looking for a wired system that can handle multiple cameras and allow you to view recordings from a few weeks back (depending on how many cameras are setup and hard drive size), and remote viewing, I would highly recommend this to anyone.

The only difficult thing is running the wires to the cameras and the ethernet cable to the router. Plan ahead and order the right length ethernet cable and camera wire extensions (comes with 8, 80 foot cables). Plenty of suppliers on eBay. I needed 4, 25 foot extensions and a 70 foot ethernet. Quality is excellent.

We almost didn't buy this, scared off by the negative reviews. But our 12yr old system was also Techwin/Samsung so we followed thru. Glad we did! Camera picture quality is excellent. Installation is simple. Remote monitoring via WisenetLife is adequate to the job and downloads easily by scanning the QR code that shows on your monitor. We disabled the motion alerts since they were constant and it was unneeded. We did not run the update since the loaded version worked fine and there were reported problems. For our purposes this system is perfect.

UPDATE - no tech supportCompletely stopped working after 18 monthsORIGINAL REVIEWI had a 10 year old Samsung Wisenet system that came with the home I purchased. The camera quality was not good anymore.For the upgrade, I wanted to use my existing coax video cables and power distribution cabling so that limited my choices to an upgraded Wisenet system. My new 5 megapixel cameras are so much better than before. This package offers great value with eight cameras and a 2Tb DVR main unit. Plus there is a cloud based option as well for even greater security of recorded camera streams.The newer Wisenet Life iOS app works well for remote viewing. The system was very easy to install and as I said it used my existing cabling. This was the best choice for my money.On the down side, there were limited purchasing outlets, pre sales support was from Wisenet directly with long hold times, however, the agents were generally helpful. The cloud option is ok for two cameras at $5/month. I think you can spend more for more cameras if you like.Overall, I had great concerns for how this would work out but once my electrician installed the cameras I was very pleased with the system quality. Camera video quality is excellent in all lighting conditions.I considered the 4K option but preferred the white camera housings for outdoor use and felt that the 5 megapixel cameras would be fine for my application.General impression is great! Don’t be swayed by other criticisms. This system is really good.

All cameras working perfectly. It’s used for security purposes. We connected it to our phones and we can view and see clearly whilst away from home, even our families in another country connected and are viewing.

all seemed to be great. only issue i have is with software. it does require password to be entered alot move than is friendly. but product is elcellent as far as quiality and working as i wanted.
