There is a reason this scoop has so many good reviews--it deserves them! It is a small scoop, but does the job, without any of the drawbacks of so many other scoops. For instance, it won't hold water when washed and later leak it onto the ice cream when it is next being used! (Check the bad reviews of other scoops!). Ugh, who wants that? That would be disgusting, but there are a number of inferior scoops that do that. I consider its small, streamlined design a great advantage also, because it takes up much less utensil-drawer space than the bigger and far more bulky scoops! I've had those big, bulky types, including the types that can be heated in a microwave or heated under hot tap water, but have not been impressed by their performance. This one is designed so nicely that I'll easily be able to store 2 of them, so I bought 2, which will be handy if one is in the dishwasher.

I didn't read the description closely enough. it's smaller than your average ice cream scoop. the benefit is that its strong enough to scoop the ice cream and small enough to eat with it so you don't have to dirty 2 things. :)

Smaller than expected.Bends a little with very cold/hard ice creams.For small scoops of softer ice creams and yogurts -- fine.

This is a good product for the prices. The ice cream doesn't release from the scoop easily, so I dip the scoop in warm water after each scoop. Had I known the scooper doesn’t release the ice cream easily. I would have chosen a different scooper.

Very nice but way to small for the servings im looking for! I sent mine back and didnt get the chance to use it but is was very sturdy and felt very nice to hold.

Wished I had realized how small the scoop was. Have to dig a lot to get a little ice creme.

Our old scoop was too large and non-functional for pints, especially for the kids. This scoop is a great size and just feels very solid and well made. The non-slip grip is a nice touch and the shape makes leveraging and scooping the frozen and the hard to reach stuff at the bottom a cinch. Recently, I used this scoop for serving fruit and it works great. It’s durable, easy to clean and, thanks to my kids, it’s become the most used kitchen utensil in our house.

Physically a lot smaller than I pictured it , it was nost what I wanted.
