There is a reason all the other insect repellents say compared to Deet. As part of my permethrin, picaridin and deet trio it is integral to reducing my daily vulnerability. I live in the wayback mountains and the tiny ticks and chiggers are far worse than the beard, coyotes, mountain lions, bobcats, rattlesnakes, copperheads and cotton mouth water moccasins. Deet works! I won’t even reduce my rating because of the leaking. Every deet spray package seems to leak. Repel is no exception. Their quality and potency is high. I have better small spray containers I can use. It’s the effectiveness of the deet that matters.

Appreciate the choice to use 100% DEET. When you live in the woods it is a must.

Keeps the bugs away !! but the smell is too strong ! If you don’t mind the smell it really works

Kept the no-see-ums and mosquitos off. But sprays out oily and then you have to rub it in which makes your hands feel gross.

First off, let me just say that my husband and I are very particular about bug repellents. We have tried so many things, but I am convinced the mosquitos in Florida are born immune to EVERY SINGLE ONE...We decided to give this a try for the 4th of July, because nothing sucks more than wanting to sit outside and enjoy fireworks then being eaten alive by blood-thirsty flying mini demons of the swamp. We all tried a different amount, I went ahead and tried the most spritz my husband was half of what I sprayed, and our 19yo cousin was half of that. 1. Subject A. myself, absolutely ZERO bites. Although it was very oily and with humidity I found it running down my arms and legs which felt gross so I had to blot like I was a southern belle meeting a gentleman caller... "i do declare, that as much as you spray with the other brands...is TOO much for this here repellent" 2. Subject B. My husband, Again ZERO bites. not as runny on his arms and legs as it was mine, but he had a sparkle to him like a Cullen in the sunlight....even at night. 3. Subject C. Our 19yo cousin, the least amount of sprays, maybe two each leg and arm...ZERO bites. no running down her arms, legs, or much of a shine...but could feel the residue a little bit when she would wipe ash from a sparkler off her arm, or dirt from the ground she was sitting on off her leg. So believe when I say....THIS PRODUCT FREAKING WORKS!!!!!!! The only thing you will want to do is, wash your hands before eating, drinking or smoking, pretty sure the repellent will make everything rather unappealing to you, or, make you sick if ingested...lets not do that, friendly reminder this is NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION...no matter how tempted you may be, NO, it does not taste like anything you'd like to try. Also, before hopping into bed at night, rinse off in the shower, otherwise you may find yourself hopping in bed, and sliding right out the other side on to the floor...that, or you'll wake up with nasty looking grease stain on your sheets that will be a permanent reminder to wash before getting into bed. 14/10 highly recommend this for all your outdoor adventures!

This stuff WORKS!!!!! I was skeptical about using these types of products on my skin, thinking it might leave a rash , but no! The best part, not one single bite !! I do late gardening in my backyard and always getting bit by 🦟 mosquitoes and was amazed , my skin had no bites!!!!

I used this to repel mosquitoes during my morning run. It helped, but didn’t completely solve the problem. Normally, I’d be swarmed by mosquitoes as soon as the sun rises—this time I wasn’t, but I still got bitten by 2 or 3. Normally, it would be 6 or 7. The product is oily, which is actually a good thing—it doesn't wash away easily with sweat. It also doesn’t have a strong odor, which I appreciated. The issue is that it gave me what I’d describe as a mild allergic reaction. About two hours after applying it, my arms started to burn slightly and turned red by the end of my run. It improved after I showered. I’m not someone prone to allergic reactions—in fact, I can’t recall ever having one in my 40+ years—so this was unexpected. Unfortunately, I can’t keep using it and wouldn’t recommend it. I’ll be returning it and going back to using Off (which isn’t perfect either, but at least it doesn’t cause a reaction).
