A Quality & Easy to Use Digital Audio Recorder
This was a surprise to me... a very nice quality device, which works well, and as advertised, for about $20. The sound is adequate and understandable with the small speaker, but when you transfer the files to your computer, you can hear that they are of a very good quality. I tried both the 512kbps it is set to out of the box, and the highest 1536kbps. There does seem to be a quality improvement... and with this 16GB version, that is supposed to hold 24 hours of audio. I also tested renaming the audio files while connected to the computer, and it does allow this. Your rename shows up on the recorder's screen, as you can see in one of my pictures. This is a VERY handy feature, if you are out in the field and need to find a file. But the best thing about this is the ease of use: You flip on the slide switch, then press "record", and you are good to go. Then when you finish, you press "SAVE". The list of all your files appears and you can quickly scroll them, and play which ever you want with another press of "PLAY/PAUSE". It may sound silly to point this out, but I've used a couple of more expensive, name brand units, and I often find myself needing a refresher course in recording, saving, and playing... they make you go through so many other steps for those very simple tasks. The quality is wonderful, too... although that cheap chrome plating is something I've never like on "import" electronics. But the case seems to be metal, and nicely finished. This has a very nice feel to it, all around. As people point out, it is very small. Well I have large hands, and have no problem with it. I was also surprised to see this being used in the new Netflix production, "The Beast in Me", with Claire Danes. She plays a successful writer in the series. Clearly this is some iteration of this same device... I would have expected the choice of some super-high end recorder, but they used this one... I would imagine considering the look and quality just fine for the part. All in all, I am not only impressed with what you get for the price, but even if this was a more expensive unit, with "Sony" or "Olympus" on it, I would appreciate the quality, features, and sound.

Nice little recorder
Great little recorder! Very small. Easy to use and figure out. I use it for song ideas on my guitar. Picks up sound very well according to where you place it. I don't crank up my amplifier for ideas(loud enough for practice at home), so I don't know if it picks up louder playing. Plays back sound loud enough to hear well on its internal speaker. Works just fine for what I need. I recommend.

Great quality easy to use. Perfect price.
I was looking for a way to have my son read along with books to help him with his dyslexia. Our library doesn’t have much foe boys his age/level and I didn’t want to give him open access to something like audible either. I tried my old recorder but it was broken. So this was an inexpensive alternative. I can read the book on the recorder then he listens and follows along. Once it’s done I record another book. It’s small enough I can carry it and the book to work and read on my lunch break and he can carry it around in his pocket. The silver part is plastic. From the photos I thought it was metal. Sound quality is similar to my cassette. I don’t think it will handle many drops but thankfully that hasn’t happened yet.

Picks up voices well
This recorder works incredibly well. I was skeptical because of the low price, but it works. It can even pick up soft talkers and whispering to some extent. This is perfect for recording a lecture. It's also very user friendly. I did need to skim the manual, but was up and running in a matter of a couple of minutes. I could not figure out how to get auto recording to work and the manual states that it is not recommended to use this feature. I believe the feature is probably there, but maybe not. It might have been disabled. Pros: - The manual claims it will record for 30 hours on the default settings. - Intuitive interface - Intuitive manual - Incredibly sensitive and able to pick up soft talkers and to some extent whispering - Very small. Even the videos didn't give it justice on it's size. It's tiny. Cons: - Auto record either doesn't exist or is difficult to figure out I can't speak on durability though, but I did drop it from 3 feet on to concrete the first day. Ugh, thought at that low of a price it would break, but it did not!

A good starter device, but has major problems (low battery life, awkward controls, breaks easily)
Not great, not awful. I got some good use out of it and it helped me understand I really like having a dedicated voice recorder, for a low investment. But eventually the USB-C data transfer function stopped working. Now, to me it's trash and I'll be buying a higher quality device. The battery does not last overnight if left on. It's slow to boot, and the menu controls are also counterintuitive. But hey, it works and its $20. Pros: very cheap, very small, totally usable audio quality for voice recording and playback. Cons: awkward menu controls, boot up time is too slow for me, battery life <8hrs even if not in use (just while on), low quality parts (failure of critical functions after a while)

Works well
Small fit in hand, has standard clean interface like many generic Chinese electronics.

Excellent little note-taker
This little gadget came in very handy at the 2025 AXPONA audio show, as I could unobtrusively record notes of names, conversations and neat audio gear I had heard. Battery life was better than expected and it held more minutes of audio than I thought possible. Very, very convenient and easy to use and worked very, very well.

Good voice recorder with usable sound quality.
For the price and for the purpose of recording lectures or voice notes, it's pretty good. Note that the sound is monaural and seems to focus on the higher frequencies, so not a high fidelity item. Recorded two hours of audio with no problem. Looks are not impressive, but acceptable for the price.
