Updated a Gateway all-in-one computer by doubling the RAM and changing out the old style hard disk for an SSD. The computer now works very well and since it has Windows 10, should last a few more years. As soon as I turned the computer on the 8 gigs of memory was recognized.

My computer is much quicker. It was a little hard to get the top plate into the computer. You have to make sure it slides in the side slot. Other than that, well worth the money.

Was a trip getting here but all is good. Had ordered memory for my Acer ES1 lapbook. When I ordered it I had previously ordered a Crucial board for my Acer all in 1 that is used in our RV and it worked 100% so went back to Crucial for this board, but Amazon was out of stock with a long wait, Crucial was out of stock with a long wait, suggested by Amazon was an alternative, checked it out, even chatted with a tech from the company, "absolutely will work with your computer, so ordered it, guess what, might work with something but not in my laptop. Returned it and waited, finally Crucial was available for pre order. Arrived yesterday, installed (installing in a Acer ES1 is not a cake walk) and tacked the main board down with a couple screws (memory is on the underside of the main board) rolled it over and turned it on 'BINGO" . As far as I am concerned Crucial is a goto for memory, you may pay a few bucks more but you get what you pay for. In this case with Crucial you get what you payed for.You can visit Crucial's website and there is a page where you can enter your computers brand and model number and they will give you all the memory and hard drive options that are available for your computer.

I stuck these bad boys in my crumbling Toshiba C655D-S5210 which replaced the original 3 GB of PC3-10600S memory at 1066MHz.Took only a minute to install, touched some grounded metal with both hands, popped out the old ones and put in the new ones. Booted and went to the BIOS screen to make sure they were sensed. BIOS reported 8GB of memory, so I saved (just to be sure the system recognized the change) and started up.Wow, a new lease on what has been already a long life for this laptop. I bought the laptop in preparing for a trip 5.5 years ago, and in all this time even though I used it DAILY since I'm a web developer and generally use my computers a lot, it has been nothing but annoying concerning memory with the original 3GB. Constantly having Chrome tasks bombing out, closing my email program to get more memory, slow and sluggish response when changing tabs.All of that is gone. With this laptop maxed out at 8GB, I started Daz3D with a complex scene with 8 high poly characters, Photoshop, Thunderbird, and Chrome. Nothing stopped this. I had the Task Manager open and monitored memory usage, and I think I topped out at 5GB. Beyond that, everything is now so much faster, clicking between tabs is basically instant.Heck, even my screen seems brighter, or is that my perspective on life now that I've have these RAM kit in my life?

Memory lookup for my older HP laptop was difficult, but Crucial had PC3L-10800 (1600 MT/s) chips listed as compatible. They did not work. I found another source matching speed of chips in the laptop, which worked fine. The 1600 chips fit into my HP all-in-one and booted up immediately, giving me plenty of memory headspace in that machine too. I blame HP - the DV4 laptop model spans several generations, and submodel not found anywhere on case.

Fast shipping, no hassle, easy. I bought a 500 GB SSD to bring my Mid 2012 MACBOOK PRO back to a “useable” condition, and it was amazing!!! But, I noticed my RAM usage was less than desirable....I installed the supported 8GB of RAM......almost as significant improvement as replacing my hard drive!!! Carefully checked fit/compatibility Acer Spire 5740-6025 on Amazon and Crucial web site over and over to make sure I got the right 8g kit.. Installed with absolutely no full startup after many, many attempts. Computer saw the ram but that was all. Took it out and back several times, nothing changed. Put back old 2g ram and laptop stared right up. Hoping to save $600 from buying new computer.FOLLOW UP: Returned this item and reordered yesterday. Hoping it was a case of DOA and new set of ram will do what it is supposed to.Next Day follow up. New set of ram worked perfectly. First set DOA. Change to 5 star is deserved. Happy to give Crucial 2nd chance; it was worth it.

Autant pour les SSD Crucial m'a beaucoup déçu récemment, autant pour cette RAM achetée pour donner un dernier souffle à un ordinateur portable très vieux (il avait 4 Go de mémoire vive, ça devenait impossible avec Chrome) m'a donné entière satisfaction.L'installation fût fastidieuse mais cela est dû à l'ordinateur. Une fois en place, la mémoire semble ne pas causer le moindre soucis et a été tout de suite et intégralement reconnue.

Funktionieren vorzüglich. Aber nicht mit allen Laptops. Im ersten wurden sie im BIOS zwar erkannt, aber Windows konnte nicht mehr hochfahren. Im 2. Laptop alles ohne Probleme.

Once I sell my old ram my cost should be 30$ :)Recommended.
