Size:4 inch Maguey Chato Agave is a usually solitary small tightly formed Agave, but suckers occasionally. It forms compact rosettes 25-50 cm tall by 35-75 cm wide (or more), broader than tall. It holds a lot of leaves for a larger Agave. The inflorescence is a slender panicle, 4-5 m tall with 15 to 20 small umbels in upper half of shaft; "flowers 60 mm long"; tepals slender, much longer than tube; capsules 4.5 x 1.8 cm, stipitate, shortly beaked, thick-walled, freely seeding. The tepals are usually twice longer than the tube. ABOUT PACKAGE: Your plant will be meticulously bubblewrapped and shipped in a sturdy box. Most 2" plants are shipped in their original plastic pot with soil. Fragile and big 4" plants are shipped bareroot to ensure their safety. When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Plant orders are shipped within 3-5 days depending on availability of the plant. Size matters....
Disappointed. As you can see, the 4” plant I paid for is about 2” short of the advertised size. They look nothing like the hearty lil’ fella in the company’s pictures. I’ll generously assume that this shortcoming is why I received 2 (very small) plants rather than the 1 Established plant I ordered, but the fact remains I did not get what I ordered and expected. I’m feeling duped here by the seller. Atleast Shipping was timely.
