Works so well
I’m sitting in my she shed and it is merrily spinning venting my special place. Excellent! Highly recommend. It’s the same as the past one that worked 10. Years. It just got rimed w salt from the bay. The salt around here is tough.

Good
At 1st I thought it was defective, but after sticking it in direct sunlight it works pretty well. At least for my application.

Only moves with very intense sunlight. Doesn't work as it should in dimmer light.
When I went outside to install this vent on a cloudy day, my old vent (with bad bearings too), was chugging away, turning its fan. The new one wouldn't start the fan in the same light. So I tested this vent and the old vent with a bright work light in my garage. The old vent fan would start turning when it was 6.5 inches from the work light. This new vent would only start when it was about 1 inch from the work light! From my experience, this means that the sunlight intensity would need to be at least about 10x stronger for this new vent than my old one. Sure the new vent will work in the brightest sunlight, but the purpose of the vent is to move air many hours a day to avoid mold or rust inside of your trailer or shed. So it has to work with dim light too. The solar panels on the new vent are a little bigger than my old one, so either they are incredibly inefficient, or the motor in the fan was chosen poorly, and doesn't match the solar cell power properties. I strongly advise against this model. I returned mine.

Works great on the chicken coop!
Easy to install. Simply trace a circle using the cardboard packing that comes with it. Then, cut your hole. I used Henry's to seal it.
