Was very surprised at how much I liked this.
Most of these collector grade toys for the american audience usually don't grab my attention. The quality is usually no where near what you get with something made for the Japanese audience, for example. As such, that's usually where my collectible dollars have gone. However, because of the license [no easily accesible Japanese products I know of] and the fact that this particular "Jaeger" was my favorite design from the film, I decided to give this a try.I had seen the previous waves in stores and passed on them all. Since receiving, the quality of this figure has me rethinking that decision. Cherno Alpha is nicely detailed, quite poseable, a nice "hefty" sized figure. Cherno here, has ball joints at shoulders, waist, "head", ankles, and hips with additional single joints at fists, elbows and knees. This makes for a pretty poseable figure given how chunky the design is. One surprise feature is that the forearms are telescoping, allowing cherno to "throw" a punch I guess. I don't remember extending arms in the film, but I'll bet I just missed it in the criminally short screen time this mecha received. The figure is colored about as pictured, with a slight green metallic tint, and includes a weathered or dirty wash with some painted/stamped details like regiment badging, numbering ,etc.I was overall quite pleased with this offering, and now have the reissues of Stryker and Crimson on pre-order. I also have Coyote Tango and the "Tresspasser" currently on order and hoping for the best when those arrive. The new wave of Kaiju are huge compared to the Jaeger's now. This now makes them in scale and just perfect together. Let me restate the quality of this single figure has me reconsidering the "Pacific Rim" offerings and pretty much anything from NECA from now on. Before I'd never given them a second thought compared to similar Japanese offerings. Quality has come a long way and price is still on the reasonable side [for adult intended items]. Good work NECA, keep it up and I'll be keeping an eye on similar items from you in the future.

Solid figure for collectors/fans of the movie.
Hands down my favorite Pacific Rim Neca 7" figure so far ( I own most of all 3 series ). It feels very solid, I only use them as a display figure, not as atoy,so I cannot comment on that aspect, it has some nice weight to it and the details are very nice.Leg/knee articulation is pretty nice ( you can do a kneeling pose with it ), the forearms slide in and out like in the movie and the fingers close to form a round fist, not as flush and round like in the movie but still good enough for me.Buying this is a no brainer for any Pacific Rim fan,get it while the price range is good before it starts sky rocketing like all other Pacific Rim 7" figures. Would definitely get a 2nd one.

NECA's greatest figure so far.
The figure on itself is awesome in almost every aspect: sculpt, joints, material, paint, etc. For the price, is hard to find a better deal, specially for a character who is so popular.Unfortunately, the QC fails to stand up to the concept and general execution. The painting detail is awesome in concept, but doesn't match where it should be, with a sloppy application; and many sites tell how the figure some times miss pieces, or have duplicates, like two left fist, which is the reason I can't give it 5 stars. While I understand is hard to get absolute perfection, some quality issues should not be tolerable, and much less be spread as much as what the evidence suggest. However, even with the minimal details I mentioned, this is a freaking awesome figure, and one buy I'll not regret.

best Jaeger so far!
NECA have done an outstanding job with the Pacific Rim line so far. It's set to continue in a few months with the arrival of the huge Series 4 Scunner Kaiju and the Series 5 Gypsy Danger 2.0! But let's get into Cherno Alpha. He's the best Jaeger so far. Ultimately, he has the best detail, best articulation, best look and amazing poses you can pull off. Also, NECA haven't spared Amy details and even included his Tesla Fists which move on the forearm! AWESOME!

Testament to a good sculptor
Whenever I look at toys, I see the time and effort that went into the original sculpt. This one was meticulously done. There is a lot of articulation from the parts that will allow you to pose the figure in many different ways. For obvious reasons, you can't move the head a whole lot - the original design of the robot doesn't allow that. The forearms extend a little and add to the industrial appeal of this robot. The only complaint I have is with the foot design which seems a bit hurried. Then again a lot of time went into the rest of the design I'm sure, so footwear was probably getting in the way of someone's eagerness to show off the bot. This would be way too awesome if someone could add LED lights to it and maybe a clear resin casing to where the operators have visual access. Then again, it would probably cost over $200 with those added features so I'm happy to have this for only $20.

Amazing Toy !!!
The NECA exceeded expectations, I am a fan of Cherno Alpha and enjoyed the product I received. The details, the painting, the amount of pivot points, finally I not found unfavorable points. I have another robo NECA Series 1 (Crimson Typhoon) and I do not see drop in quality between the series which shows the concern of NECA in maintaining the quality of its products. Particularly this item also worth every penny paid.

One of my favorites!
I've been waiting for this bad boy for some time and I'm glad to say I'm not disappointed. He's got surprising articulation, great paint job, looks and feels like a damn tank. Great figure!Update: Okay after 2 days of having this Jaeger, I notice the leg joints are loose to the point that it's almost difficult to make him stand without him totally upright or a straight squat. The ball joints need to be tightened up on these as they tend to randomly fall after a certain period of time.
