I have no real complaints about the materials of the puzzle. The pieces fit together well, and the box had a complete unobstructed picture in the front. However, the specific design of the gradient was not as fun as I hoped it would be. The colors were not evenly distributed, so there were tons of reds and oranges and hardly any yellows. And there were also weird quirks like an entire edge of the puzzle being teal and the white being off center. I wish they had just used a stock image of a rainbow gradient, I think that would have been more fun

I'm a bit of a jigsaw puzzle geek. I like puzzles with bright colors so this one really caught my attention. Wow, it was not as easy as I thought, after all, stripes of colors is pretty easy, right?? That mindset is all well and good until you start putting it together. The similar cuts and colors make it tricky. More than once I'd get a small section done but then have left over pieces in that color. Ahhh, look closely. Chances are the pieces aren't in the right places. It's very irritating when you put a puzzle together and find there is a missing piece of two. I had no missing pieces, in fact, I had an extra. :-)

Basics:- 1000 piece, true gradient puzzle- ribbon cut, traditional shape variety- some puzzle dust- comes sealed in a plastic bag in a cardboard box, with basic info on the box- medium piece thicknessPros:- matte finish- for the most part, obvious when pieces don't fit. Had a multi-layer "problem" section in the blues.- very few stuck together pieces in the bagCons:- matte finish is missing (seems chipped) around edges of many pieces. See up close picture. Not too obvious when all assembled, but definitely present.- puzzle feel: pieces kind of "crunch" into place- the box is oddly proportioned for storing with other puzzle boxes. It's very long, narrow, and very thin. Good for doubling as a pieces tray though.Overall, the most special thing about this puzzle is its matte finish. It's not really spectacular in any other way, but it's not glaringly bad at anything either. It's priced a little higher than I would like, with shipping, but I enjoyed my time with this puzzle and am open to trying more of this brand.

pieces that don't go together fit together a lot.

This was a great gradient puzzle. It was the perfect difficulty ... challenging, but never frustrating. The piece quality was good and I never ended up with a piece in the wrong place. Just as good as the other popular gradient puzzles. Highly recommend it for any puzzle lover.

This was an enjoyable gradient puzzle with very nice color saturation.Something to note is the finish on the pieces. They are ultra matte with a dead flat finish. This gives the pieces zero glare and a nice, chalk paint sort of texture. This finish it a bit delicate however, since many of the pieces arrived with the color scraped off on the edges (see second and third photos).

This is a challenging, beautiful puzzle. If you have a good eye for color gradations, it is very helpful.

I have purchased (from Amazon) in the past year about 50 puzzles made by various puzzle makers, and this was hands-down the poorest quality puzzle I've come across.The pieces were poorly cut so they didn't fit together smoothly, and the image peeled away from the cardboard backing on a majority of the pieces, so once the puzzle was completed (no small feat with these challenges), the overall effect was cheap and shoddy.Very disappointing.

The box this puzzle comes in is great, and it looks gorgeous. However, half the puzzle pieces had ridges on them, meaning they were badly cut. I was able to complete the puzzle, but the look of it was spoiled by the ridges, they are very noticeable. If you look at the bottom of the photo I have included, you can see what I mean. I love a gradient puzzle, but the piece quality definitely let this one down, and I dont think I will go on to purchase any of the others from this brand that were in my wish list. It's a pity, because the colours are stunning.

Cut edges are not as clean as I would expect, lots of dust/loose card. Fit of pieces quite loose.It is such a shame - I find the colour jigsaws very good to de-stress, and this is not anywhere as good quality as the others I have had from the same range. image quite blurred/pixelated

Very good challenge, it is a quite demanding puzzle. Good quality overall, but some pieces required a bit of work to nicely fot together.
