even the same myrtles can smell different, apparently
just an FYI, this myrtle is not distinguished as red or green. my nose tolerates it in the humidifier of my cpap machine. however, it is wild green myrtle essential oil purchased somewhere else that was absolutely exquisite when used in the cpap humidifier as part of the vapor that blows directly into my nose all night long. i will keep this bottle of myrtle for other uses, and purchase another bottle of the green myrtle i had previously used with the cpap. (it is not recommended to use essential oils in a cpap humidifier, but i do it anyway because myrtle is very gentle and is particularly good for mucous membranes. i am not in any way trying to get others to use ANY essential oil in their cpap humidifier water, i just really like experimenting, and this experiment turned out good.)update: i reordered some wild green myrtle from the place i originally purchased it from as referenced above. the scent this time around is perhaps a little bit milder than this bottle, but is Nowhere Near as sweet as the original purchase in 2010 that was pure heaven to go to sleep with! i am wondering now if the time of year affects the strength, tone and/or sweetness of the myrtle. usually smell is not even a factor for me, but the differences in smell between Sandalwoods, Roses, and Myrtles really matters to me. even though the smell is not out-of-this-world wonderful, and really isn't even enjoyable, is rather a turn-off, i have returned to adding myrtle to the cpap humidifier water once again because adding it has again helped my nose in a noticeable way.will anyone with info about myrtles please give me the heads up?

Love, Love, Love this myrtle oil :)
Love, Love, Love this myrtle oil in my respiratory blends!I use this mostly in topical blends to put on my chest when my asthma is bothering me.Of course, if you have asthma you need to be careful to ensure you don't use something that bothers you instead. This is one of the main aromas that really helps me.This is one of the first Edens Garden oils I purchased and helped me decide this company is worth buying from in addition to my favorite company :)

Made me sneeze
I bought this because I'd read it might be helpful for hypothyroidism. I only used it once, but it made me sneeze terribly. I know: All the aromatherapy experts say that isn't possible. Well, it is. I have used two other oils from Eden's Garden (carrot and bergamot) with no reaction. I also have used several oils from my aromatherapy instructor with no problem. If a person can be allergic to plants, I see no reason why I couldn't be allergic to a specific plant oil. The scents of certain air fresheners and natural flowers make me sneeze too.

Love this stuff for congestion.
I suffer with bad allergies - mainly in Spring - but actually most of the year and I battle to sleep at night because of them. Every time I lie down, my nose closes up. I used to put eucalyptus oil on my pillow but then I learnt it was a stimulant. Myrtle also works for respiratory problems but is more relaxing and therefore ideal to help with nighttime congestion. I put a little on a tissue and it helps me sleep. It isn't a cure all - nothing natural really seems to work and I refuse hard drugs - but it helps.

The smell is not strong so I feel comfortable using it before leaving home
Edens Garden is one of the few essential oil companies that carries Myrtle 100% pure grade oil. I bought it to use on my thyroid gland. I haven't had my thyroid levels checked yet, but can feel a difference in my body. I don't get as tired as I was before. I'm using it in addition to my daily thyroid pill. The smell is not strong so I feel comfortable using it before leaving home.

Quality in a bottle!
Very happy with the quality of the Essential Oil I ordered. Using it to try and get my Thyroid (hypothyroidism) back in line. I went to the Edens Garden web-site and liked what I saw. I will order again. This 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Oil is a winner in my book. I will be ordering again. The product was wrapped well nothing missing or broken. :)

Love it!
Eden's Garden is an excellent company to buy from. The oils are pure and they carry a large variety of pure oils and synergy blends. I use their oils exclusively in my all-natural bath and body products that I sell at farmer's markets and online because the quality is so high.

Light Scented
Otherwise known as "Wax Myrtle" or "Bayberry" in the south, this fragrance has a light waxy-pine scent. It reminds one of church candle wax. If you like heavily scented oils, this rates among the least potent, but it is relaxing to use while reading or napping.
