Otterbox is always a good purchase
Its big, really protective but big, if you had a Defender for a phone u get how much bulk it adds to a device. The hard screen case cover is a bit worrying as it has the stand and some metal that could come into contact with the screen (i always remove the built in screen protector with a Defender case , its only glued on) but it may be designed so this wont happen unless youre being careless. I only use it outside the home and for travel, not yet obvs but I will and im sure it will be as good as every other Otterbox case ive owned (probs about 10 by now)

Super safety!
Great protector for iPad and feels comfortable when using it - the soft back gives a good grip. (Bit of a struggle to prise apart the separate parts to affix it but worth the effort!). The lift-up support attached to the casing allows the iPad to be propped up at different angles for ease of use and there is storage space for the Apple Pencil. Bit expensive but very durable and of good quality.

If only I had bought something else...now facing a large repair bill for iPad screen replacement
Bought this alongside a new iPad mini 5 for my daughter as the battery life on her old iPad was becoming an issue. It was an expensive case, however I wrongly assumed that "you get what you pay for". I was attracted by the statement that this was a "3-layer, drop proof case" and that it has "Robust, 3-layer protection withstands drops, bumps and shocks". The manufacturer goes on to state that "OtterBox Certified Drop+ Protection means 24+ tests over 238+ hours, which certify that this rugged, low-profile case performs when it matters most"What I can tell you is that in real life, in the hands of a child, this case does NOT perform. After less than 6 weeks, we have a shattered screen and a very expensive repair bill. If this happens to you, don't think about contacting the manufacturer as their response is that their warranty does not cover the contents of the device - i.e. the iPadI've added a few photos to show the shattered screen and I can confirm that I fitted the case correctly. We had been using Lifeproof cases for years and had no issues at all. Sadly, Lifeproof didn't have a case for the iPad 5 mini at the time of purchase which is why we bought this case after reading the manufacturer's claims about how robust this case was supposed to be.

Fabulous iPad protector
This is great I bought a new iPad for my autistic son, and needed something to protect it, although at first quite fiddly to disassemble it fitted the iPad great, well it’s been dropped on concrete. Thrown about and it’s absolutely great protected the iPad and no expensive Apple bills, I highly recommend this product.

Don’t buy - iPad mini will not fit!
DO NOT BUY THIS - THE IPAD MINI WILL NOT FIT! Apologies for the shouting, but this product just doesn’t cut it. The finish is cheap and the fixings inadequate. But worst of all the iPad simply will not fit into the lower tray. There are some raised plastic fixings at the bottom of the case which prevents the iPad from sitting in the housing. It simply squeezed out of the other end! For £50, it has to be better. Otterbox have completely failed with this case.

Superb
Outstanding quality. We were recommended this product by other parents and this is the one for sure. We’ve had this a month now and it’s doing the job we want it to do and continue doing.
