FURminator Dual Grooming Brush for Cats and Dogs

Looking for a double sided brush for a dog with a wirey coat who doesn’t like being groomed. I’ve used many versions of this brush and for my dog this is the best I’ve found.The quality is much higher than other products and the ergonomics make this very nice to use. Both the bristle side and the pin side are softer than other brands I’ve used and as such my dog objects much less. The bristles are a little too soft for his coat but the less aggressive pins mean I can use this much easier across all his coat and it gets the tangles out without objections.

My cat loves this. She came over to sniff it curiously when I unpackaged it and I began brushing her with the deshedding side. She loved it. Must be a nice and stimulating massage. Useful for removing all that excess shed fur when she starts shedding her winter coat to summer coat.

I was so impressed with this that I had to come online and write a glowing review! This works really well on my Birman cat. Her hair feels so soft and silky after using it and it didn’t seem to pull on her fur like other brushes do so she was very happy for me to brush her as long as I needed.

We bought this over a year ago and it gets daily use. One of our cats loves it so much he sometimes reaches up to the shelf it’s on, when he’s being fussed, and pats it to indicate he wants to be brushed. The bristle side is the favourite. It’s well made, pure bristle, and is still as good as new. The more spiky side has little balls at the end of each spike (like a good quality brush for humans) so it doesn’t hurt the cat and these act as a massager. I’ve seen similar brushes where the protective ball comes away and so it can become sharp but there’s no fear of this with the furminator brush. These are so good I’ve bought another two for friends with cats.

Nice comfortable brush to hold, easy to use. Looks well made.Removes loose fur from my 2 cocker spaniels. It doesn't tug, it glides through the fur nicely and my dogs are happy enough to stand and let me use it.Update: after only 6 weeks of use, it is starting to lose it's pins. Considering it has only been used for fluffy puppy fur, sadly, I no longer think it is good quality.

A bit bulky and stiff. Suited to dogs, not cats

Has this along tima and it is the best dog brush I have had.Normal brush side does th job. The flatter side does offer a bit of sheen to the coat.
