but seems to work fine. It's very quiet
When the motherboard was replaced last year, the original fan became incredibly loud. I put up with it for a year, but was finally moved to do something about it. My son helped me find the specs and had me order this one. It's a little smaller than the original, but seems to work fine. It's very quiet. I was so relieved when the computer was powered up and I could barely hear the fan. Now I can enjoy using my PC again.

Exact fit

i ordered this a few years ago for a friend's custom built PC using an ASUS motherboard and it works very well with an AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor though the fan is almost quiet. I will order a second one for my computer soon.

As loud as miniature vacuum.
Most of the reviews say this cpu cooler is quiet, this opinion couldn't be farther from the truth. This thing literally sounds louder than most microwaves; you can hear from anywhere else is the house(!) That is the antithesis of quiet, and I am not sure why the other reviews differ from my observations.Yes, it does a reasonable job of cooling your cpu for cheap, but it eats away at your well being with its near intolerable noise levels. If you can afford to, avoid this product.

I needed something quick, and not expensive. I use my computer more for entertainment than work, this cooler has worked for a couple months with no problems. It has been quiet after the initial start up. This unit went on my 6 core AMD processor fairly easily. I am a novice at computer components and this was still simple. I run Warcraft with no heating issues.
