Vector V940 Radar / Laser Detector with Bonus Second Car Kit (SmartCord & Sticky Car Mount)

This was part of a value package for less than $120 and I could not be more pleased. The detector works very well and has numerous methods to mount and power the device. Great product, value, and delivery experience.

Works great. Has done a great job in radar detecting. I'm on the road a lot and it is very consistent on non-law enforcement detection (e.g. Door sensors). Detector announces band (e.g. says "K band"), and when it announces K band, it sounds like "cave man." Made me laugh.

Ok for the price

So far this detector is working okay . Time will tell if it works as advertised in description . I still get false alerts where I know it's just a stores security system but not as long of a beeping sound as my old cobra detector . As for distance for a cop patrolling it is great ! Yesterday got an X alert for quite a while and finally saw him coming towards me . I would estimate at least a mile it picked up his radar signal . That was in city . No alerts yet on the highway but I have only used this for less than 2 weeks now .The extra cord and windshield mount is great . Especially the round cup that once you put it on the glass it's not coming off until you release the suction . So far am happy with this detector .

Had this for a while now but recently it has not been picking anything up. I wave to unplug and re plug just to get signal.. Starting to disappoint mem

Seems to work ok. I had it in center console in vette and went to use it but it wouldn't come on. Beltronics said I would have to pay to fix it. I figured out the problem. Heat, it was to hot I let it cool off and worked fine. Beltronics attitude stinks. Valentine one is next.

This radar detector is great value for the price. It has saved me from a number of tickets and has a lot of features.It has very good range. I like the different sounds it provides for different bands detected.One of my favorite features it has is how it softens the alert sound after the initial couple beeps. That way you know you are still in range but don't have to deal with the loud volume. The tempo of the sounds also slow as you get further from the source.I like this detector so much I have purchased three of them.

Been using a 940 for about 10 years now. I'm not a heavy foot driver at any means, but I know this unit has saved me on a few occasions. It's not about speeding. You just have to know when they are around. It's that simple. I live in an area that is loaded with law enforcement, State, County, and local, and they all love to fund raise. A simple 10 mph over will cost well over $200. One save and it pays for itself..
