Perfect Addition for 5th Wheel – Stylish and Functional Convertible Sofa
I recently purchased the Serta Rane Convertible Sofa Lounger in Light Grey Microfiber for our 5th wheel, and it has been a fantastic addition. This sofa offers a perfect blend of style, comfort, and functionality, making it an excellent choice for any RV or small living space.First and foremost, the design of the Serta Rane Convertible Sofa is sleek and modern. The light grey microfiber fabric gives it a contemporary and clean look that complements the interior of our 5th wheel beautifully. The sofa's minimalist design and neutral color make it easy to match with various decor styles and accessories. The comfort level of this sofa is impressive. The microfiber upholstery is soft and pleasant to the touch, providing a cozy and inviting seating experience. The cushioning is firm yet comfortable, offering good support whether you're sitting or lounging. The sofa's compact size is perfect for the limited space in our 5th wheel, and it doesn't overpower the area. One of the standout features of this sofa is its versatility. The convertible design allows it to transform easily from a sofa to a lounger to a full-size bed. The transition between positions is smooth and straightforward, making it convenient to switch from relaxing to sleeping mode in just a few seconds. This versatility is particularly useful in an RV setting, where space is at a premium, and multifunctional furniture is essential. The build quality of the Serta Rane Convertible Sofa is solid and durable. The frame feels sturdy, and the construction appears to be built to last. The sofa has held up well to daily use, and there have been no signs of wear or issues with the mechanisms. This durability is crucial for furniture in an RV, where items often endure more movement and use than in a stationary home.In terms of setup, the sofa was relatively easy to assemble. The instructions were clear, and all necessary hardware was included. It took only a short time to have the sofa fully assembled and ready to use.In summary, the Serta Rane Convertible Sofa Lounger in Light Grey Microfiber is an excellent addition to any 5th wheel or small living space. Its stylish design, comfort, versatility, and solid build quality make it a standout choice. I highly recommend this convertible sofa to anyone looking for a functional and attractive seating solution for their RV or compact home. It has exceeded our expectations and has become a favorite spot for both relaxing and sleeping.

Build a base
***Update***It's holding up well. I stand by what I said though. Build a simple base. I'm certain it would have snapped in half by now if I hadn't reinforced it from the begining.I really like this futon, especially for the comfort and price point, BUT, I have 4 children that are little busy bodies and they were not allowed to use this out of the box.I build a very basic 2x4 frame with 3 rectangular "feet" so the futon wouldn't snap in half. You can feel the interior structure of the futon and it feels like it was built with a single 2x2, at best.In total, the additional cost of the wood/stain was around $25 but it's well worth it and now it looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. (Beware if you use it without adding a center support.)

Great product, especially for the price. New York Times Wirecutter was right.
I had serious doubts about buying this futon, because the price was so low. After I read the reviews, I bought two, for a "man cave" in the basement for my son. I am so glad that I did. They are small, but perfect for the space. They are amazingly well made, and even the fabric is nice. They are short to sleep on, but not for a kid crashing after a night of video games, and they can always sleep diagonally. I really don't think I could be more pleased. I would have spent much more for this lovely product, but I am glad that I didn't need to.

Good for short time use
Screw holes weren't straight on the legs so they had to be put in at a slant causing the leg to break after 4 months of regular use. I had to throw this away after less than 2 years as the leg was broken and the back wouldn't stay up anymore. It is a relatively comfy futon for both sitting and sleeping, however it is not durable for long term regular use. I just bought new couch the other day because of this breaking and I didn't realize how bad I disliked this product until I had a different one.

NOT STABLE if you’re >150lbs!
I stood up one morning and the front corner leg ripped its screw housing out of the wood frame. I only weigh 160 lbs. As a broke college student, I went with the futon that I could afford and that would fit in my room. This is unacceptable. I threw out the box immediately as it was humongous, so I’m unsure how to return the broken one without spending more money on a huge box just so I can get my money back!I initially had a very similar futon that was already broken. I decided to upgrade and initially this futon was miles more comfortable than the springs in the broken one digging into me every night. After a while though, you notice that this futon has a wooden beam right down the crease where the back section pivots which left me constantly shifting overnight. My last big structural complaint is with the “patented” easy click adjustment mechanism or whatever it’s called. It feels like only one corner of the futon actual has a locking winch. If you have two people sitting on either end of the futon in sofa mode and they lean back, the person on the right will lean back about 3 inches farther than the person on the left. You can feel the mechanism straining and creaking inside. Again, the actual legs of my futon are what broke, but I imagine the backrest wouldn’t have been far behind. It’s also worth mentioning that the material is rather course. I covered the entire futon with a soft blanket I had that was conveniently the perfect sizeIf someone from the company sees this, please just refund my money so I can toss this piece of junk in the dumpster without needing to borrow a car, buy a massive box, and get funny looks at the UPS store. The only thing that would save my opinion of this futon is if I just got a defective one and customer service replaces it/refunds me without hassle.I’ll update my review in a couple weeks pending my interaction with Amazon and the vendor. ‘Til then, I’d advise spending you money on something else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
