I use this mainly to rub on my shoulders and it works great.

My sister first used this while on a trip to China, and it helped so much that she decided to bring a bunch with her back home. Since then, it's been a go-to for muscle pains, spasms, aches, and so on. She convinced my mom to try it when her shoulder hurt, and now my mom swears by it, too! So, we buy these in 6 packs now ... to have in every household and do take on any vacation (in case someone sprains, pulls, aches). Not expensive, and apparently effective!

I used to buy the older style Tiger Balm for sore muscles, but ever since I found this stuff it has been my go to for everything from pulled muscles, post workout (or work) soreness, knots, strains, and it even helps somewhat with bruises. It's hard to find in stores near me so I was happy to be able to buy a bunch at once and stock up. If you are looking for a comparison between this and the old style it seems to be stronger than the yellow/original Tiger Balm but not as harsh as the red (staining) one. It also smells minty instead of that original "What the heck IS that" smell that I never really got used to.

Product is great for pain relief but the scent is incredibly strong. It makes my eyes water, so I can only use it when I'm at home for the night.

I have always preferred to use Tiger Balm. It has always worked for me.
