I am a skeptic and I didn't think one of these would do a thing for the algae on my tank. I have been hand cleaning it for years so I know it takes some elbow grease to remoe. I decided on this one because the tank piece floats to the top and I thought that would be a nice feature. I am blown away by this thing. The magnet on the outside pulls in the inside piece from 5-6" away! They do not separate easily when cleaning so that's a non-issue. It cleans super quick, much quicker than how I had been cleaning it. I had a lot of algae on the side of my tank and it removed it with a couple swipes. I didn't take pictures because I was sure it wouldn't work, so why bother. I wish I had because the tank glass is now clear - I was able to do all sides of my 75 gallon tank within 5 minutes. I wish I had bought this sooner!

Fabulous item! I luv it!! My water looked fine on the inside but the algae on the glass made the tank look terrible I thought the fish were living in horrible conditions until I bought this product and used it. In one swipe it cleaned it up to look completely clear and my fish are fine! I don’t know how long it will stay working this good but at the price I’ll toss it and buy a new one. My kids also love being able to clean the glass. My only regret was not taking before and after shots to show the difference.

but not as good as a straight edge razor blade. This works if you don't have too much film or bad algae. Otherwise just go for straight edge razor. I have glass tanks, not sure you would want to use razor blade on acrylic so for those this might be the best option.

Very very happy with this product! Same size as the comparable Mag-Float at half the price! More cleaning surface and easier to hold! Definitely recommend!

This works fairly well on light algae growth. I have to pass it over the same area several times to clean it completely. I think it is a little small for my 20 gallon tall but originally bought it for a smaller tank.The magnet is not strong enough to go around corners and will release if pulled out slightly but works ok. I have sand substrate and it will get in between the cleaning block and the glass if I touch bottom. I mainly use it on the front of my tank. I ended up buying a razor cleaner for the sides and back to take care of what the snails don’t. I continue to give them a chance to do their job but 🤷🏼‍♀️. I also use it to get the very bottom edge along the substrate.

Amazing little tool works great

I keep a few snails in my aquarium to keep the glass clean, but the water still appears cloudy. This product makes a significant improvement after a few passes.

edit 6.2.24:I am sorry to have to reduce my rating down to one star.I'm using their largest magnet scraper on my 200 gallon tank to keep the algae at Bay and I can no longer do that because the razor blade scraper/holder won't stay seated on the end. it keeps on popping off. I've made sure the indent and tab are clean but nothing seems to help.edit 5.29.23 :ordered a new one after the other one started leaking. the new one has now been working for months with no issues so I'm upgrading my review to a 4 star. I'm withholding a star only because the first one was defective and I wish the magnet was a little bit stronger for my thicker glass.I have a 210 gallon aquarium and The Glass looks like it's about a half inch thick.this magnet scrubber seems to work great but in using it the first time I had a series of continuous bubbles emanating from the inside the aquarium half of the pair.strong magnetic attraction through the half inch glass seemed to work great on stubborn brown algae that has grown on the glass. some spots it took 10 or so passes of the inside scrubber to clean this stubborn algae off but I am pleased with the results.since my aquarium is about 2 ft deep the desire to have a floating magnet is key and my concern is the bubbles indicate water is going into the inside of the aquarium half.I may just have a manufacturing defect and will replace this unit for what I hope to be a better one from the same manufacturer.
