Good sealant
I used it for servicing a transmission. It held the gasket in place while I put in the mount bolts. Nice

Replacing my well loved Walthers' GOO
One of my railroad hobby fans turned me on to this when I found "GOO" hard to get anymore. He said that it was what he figured "GOO" actually was, or at least the closest approximation of the same type of cement/glue. On that recommendation I bought two tubes to test, and have been delighted with the results. One category that is listed on the review though is not it's forte', if you GOO it, don't expect to remove it easily. I've still got a magnet-uncoupler on a turnout that I attached to it during the early 80's, and I've yet to pry it off so it's on my new layout in an appropriate place that I don't have to remove it. (Solvent I think would ruin the Atlas turnout, which is still in perfect shape.)I've always used "GOO" on my model railroad in many different applications from A to Z, in anywhere I needed a tough adhesive that could stand abit of flex and bond to many different type materials (almost never for plastic to plastic though). I've found this works as exactly the same from all my uses of it. And you get more for the money, and it's MUCH easier to obtain.Excellent deal, I'm sold!

Great gasket sealant.
Rebuild my 4.3 Mercruiser two years ago. Used this on a few gaskets and they are holding up fine.

Hi-tack? Lo-tack
Could only give this product 3 stars. I've used hi-tack for decades. I've used Permatex for decades. However this is the first time I've used Permatex brand hi-tack. It uh, wasn't very tacky. It didn't hold the gasket in place in the manner expected (you know, like hi-tack does) and was dried up seconds after a bead was applied. Smelled and looked more like contact cement than hi-tack. In the end, i made it work but I'll likely not use it again for a gasket holding agent
