Q: How many miles would you expect this seat to last?

Agree with others comments. 3000+ miles and showing no wear. The bike is garaged, and I only weigh about 140lbs with gear, so not the harshest conditions. I fully expect it to last as long as any original Kawasaki seat that I have had (this is my tenth Kawasaki, and I have never had to replace/re-cover a seat due to wear).

I feel this is a specific for the ninja 1000

I have not measure it exactly. From feel, it is very close to the same. I have a 30 inch inseam, meaning I can just barely put both boots flat on the ground when I am at the front of the seat. My ability to do so is the same with the new seat as it was with the old one. And the new one it FAR more comfortable!
