A Definite Thumbs Up
I like this little steamer! It can fit in various size pots by opening like a flower, it just stops when the edges hit the side of the pot. I have been using mine in my Instant Pot lately & it works great. It folds up to a pretty small size for storage as well. I like that the center post has a little ring to make lifting the steamer out of the pot easier. The ring cools pretty quickly so I have not had any issues lifting it out with my fingers, after giving it a few seconds to cool. It you prefer, you can take a large fork, insert one of the tines through the metal ring and lift it out that way. It's inexpensive and I think it will last for years. A good buy.

Steaming is so much better than Boiling
I only had this basket for a short time but so far I love it. Steamed veggies are so much tastier then boiled ones. I also hear they tend to retain more of their nutrients since it don't leach out into the water like they do when they are boiling and another added bonus is seasoning them before/while cooking since this too won't get 'washed away' in the water as it boils. The way it works is to put an inch or so of water in the bottom of the pot, put the steamer basket in, then put the veggies in the basket.I like to put enough water in the bottom of the pot so I can just see it through the holes in the basket (it is even with the basket bottom) so I can keep an eye on the water level. (Just remember, don't put so much water in that it covers the veggies, you want to steam it not boil it. Also make sure you have the top on the pot otherwise you will 'steam' all your water out in no time.)The veggie basket is big enough to fit a large pot so it can be fully opened for times I am doing a larger batch or I can just stick it in my medium pot for a fewer veggies. (When you put the veggies in, they don't have to be single layered but just try not to pack it too tight so the steam can cook it evenly.)So far, I haven't had any issues with it falling apart or rusting (or any other problems for that matter) so I am giving it 5 stars and will edit if I need to down the road.

It's exactly what you'd expect
This kind of steamer basket is a commodity product. They all perform the same, pretty much, though you do want stainless steel for this kind of application. I don't use this frequently, but it performs as expected, is not rusting, is not breaking, just isn't problematic in any way. And it was much more affordable than ordering from a "fancy" place like Williams Sonoma (which would have sent pretty much an identical product for way more money). This Chef Craft one was even cheaper than Target and Walmart in my area. So, I'm happy with this. If it turns out not to last for years and years, I won't care since the cost is so low. I will see about getting another size, since I could use both a small and a large one.
