Lovely and Functional
I haven't really put it to the test for durability, but I can't see any obvious problems as far as functionality. I like wooden handles on my tools which is why I purchased this pizza cutter over the other endless choices, Mine doesn't have the little ridges cut into the handle, which is actually better/preferable for sanitation. Otherwise, the handle is the same -- very comfortable and ergonomic. I think the wood is beech, which is very light in weight, yet durable. I'm a baker (not a pizza chef,) so I plan on using this to cut raw dough, and it should last forever. The pizza chefs at my work use the white handled sani-safe ones, and they get very heavily abused and run through the dishwasher etc. This one has the same stainless steel cutting blade, but I'm sure the wooden handle would not hold up as well in the dishwasher.If people are concerned about wobbly blades, I don't think it's possible or practical to make this type of cutter that isn't a little wobbly. If you need perfectly straight cuts for some reason, you can run it against something straight like a rolling pin, which is what I do when cutting danish dough.

Works but quality is questionable?
I wanted a quality pizza cutter and thought this was made in Italy? Not sure but the quality is not really good. I am disappointed. It is very basic or basically cheaply made. The rivet that connects the wheel looks really cheap. The bottom line is this works but think the wheel will probably fall off sooner than later. If I threw it out in the trash by accident, I certainly do not think I would say I care.
