Kittens leave plant and dirt alone now
I like that they come in small mats as makes easy to work with. My 10 month old kittens leave my plant and dirt alone now! Black blends enough to make not too noticeable. Heavy enough without being difficult to cut for curves of pot etc

Sturdy, and effective.
I like that these come with steaks, etc. They are sturdier/thicker/denser than the other brand I bought. Currently using them to keep cats out of my parent's potted seeds and garden.

Pretty Good Deterrent
I bought this to keep my cat off my bearded dragon’s terrarium. I placed them on the screen and tied them down. She’s not been jumping up on the terrarium. I also used these on top of my dehumidifier to keep her from walking on it and powering it on. She’s been staying off of it. However, on the kitchen counter she just scoots the mat out of the way and gets on. So, it does seem to work in some places but others not so much. Overall, I’m pleased with these mats because it’s keeping her off two places I really didn’t want her going.

It works, but it’s super flimsy and cheap

Worked for me!
These worked out great for keeping my cats off of my computer tower. It doesn't hurt the cats but its uncomfortable enough that they no longer want to sit on the computer tower and turn it off.

Either buy more than one set or get a dumber cat
Okay to be fair, my oldest boy cat is almost terrifyingly smart. Genius, even. I’m relatively sure that if his legs were longer, he could easily drive off in our car and probably drive better than me. In 30 years of consistent cat-owning, there hasn’t been a cat that has even come close, IQ-wise. Luckily, he is also very sweet or I probably wouldn’t even be here to write this...so keep this is in mind—your cat is probably not as abnormally smart and be thankful for it.He is also, unfortunately, a morning cat, and since he’s (maybe?) part Siamese, very, very vocal. And large. Like 17 lbs of pure muscle. That may not sound like much but when you have 17 pouncing pounds of a high-C register screeching alarm clock landing on your chest at 5:30 in the morning, it might as well be a screaming anvil.So...stairs. Our bedroom is on a sort of loft and it takes a dozen stairs to reach it. We bought these with high hopes. We were a little disappointed to see how few of these things are actually included, but it still seemed like it would be enough to do the trick. To be on the safe side, though, we felt we should try to do a trial run before bedtime. So we set them up—with the strangely only 4 suction cups, which doesn’t even make sense because you need at least two per—but whatever. He sniffed at them, gave us the most bored “Really??” expression I’ve ever seen on a cat (and they all have at least one), bit the corner and yanked it off...then proceeded to the do the same with the rest. It took him all of 90 seconds to remove all 16 screens, after which he walked up the stairs without even looking back. It was kind of embarrassing, really. The intelligence of the other three cats range from moderately-bright to utter blithering moron. Except for our beautiful idiot, they all found ways to get around them. For one thing, it’s pretty easy to just step over them—there aren’t enough of these things to prevent it. They don’t even have to be big cats like our brilliant overlord. My teen-age (you know what I mean) cat was a starving kitten when we found her. Consequently, her growth was stunted and her legs are slightly bowed out. Wonderful cat but she has a bad habit of biting the heads off of the flowers my (great) partner buys me. I thought surely these would work. I surrounded the vase with these things and various other objects. She gave us a “Really??” cat face and easily stretched across my feeble obstacle course, steadied her front paws on the small, unavoidable empty space around the vase and deliberately chomped off a tulip head.Maybe it would work if you added a second set (and more suction cups, for crying out loud), but $17 is already a ridiculous amount to pay for pointy, ineffectual plastic. I’m sure as hell not going to make it $34.To be fair, it did work on my wonderful but decidedly stupid oldest cat, but so does a circle of match books, so that’s not much of an endorsement. But if you don’t want to line up a bunch of small objects and your lovely cat is also a vacant-eyed imbecile, maybe it will work...though it takes a lot longer to put these things together than a it does a free circle of match books. So, yeah...no. I highly do not recommend these. Especially at the ridiculous price, the paucity of ineffectual pointy screens and irritating lack of suction cups.
