Beautiful and functional randomness.
I have had this product for approximately a month now and I was very hesitant to purchase the refurbished version but I'm glad that I did!The Eufy 30C has proven to be very effective against dust, hair, cereal, and various other small items that find their way onto the floor throughout the day.My Eufy, affectionately named "Aunt Lydia" (from "The Handmaid's Tale") is used on my hardwood floors. I never thought I would be the type of person to purchase a robot vacuum because they just never seemed practical to me. I am a very clean person and enjoy having a spot free, and dust free home. When we purchased our new home, I loved out hardwood floors but after about 3 months, I realized how much of a pain it was to sweep them all the time. I hated stepping on little things that found their way to the floor. Now don't get me wrong, I have no issued pulling out a broom and sweeping, and I did so all the time... But once I purchased my Eufy, I realized how much time I am saving now.I think the Eufy is best for someone who is already a pretty clean person. Someone who isn't expecting the robot vacuum to do all the work. The Eufy works best with someone who also has no issues cleaning. I look at it as a partnership. When I step on something on the floor, I pick it up. Now, I could leave it and I know that my Eufy will get it later when she's scheduled to run, but I just pick it up. With both of us working together, I find that I'm hardly ever sweeping and I almost never step on anything like I always used to.I enjoy the functionality of the app and the ability to control Eufy from the app as well. There is also a remote that comes with the Eufy 30C, however, I've yet to use it because the smart phone app serves as more than enough. You can do numerous things from within the Eufy smart phone app such as setting a schedule, controlling the Eufy manually, adjusting the suction level, seeing battery life, and much more. When I was looking at robot vacuums, I was concerned about the randomness of the Eufy's cleaning manner when compared to the more expensive and more efficient laser and mapping robot vacuums. However, in the month I've had my Eufy, I have not seen any problems with the randomness of the Eufy's cleaning. She seems to efficiently and effectively vacuum everything in my 1300 square foot home. She also fits well underneath my couches and tables and gets everything vacuumed up.I have no issues with the size of the dust bin. My Eufy cleans on a schedule every single night and I find myself having to dump the bin every other day. Not bad.The battery is definitely sufficient for a home 1300 square foot. If you have something larger, don't expect as much efficiency. The smaller the home, the better the random cleaning patterns work on a single battery charge.I have no complaints with my Eufy. I wish it had the laser mapping feature but for the price point, this robot vacuum soars among the competition. I definitely recommend this vacuum. And on a side note, don't be afraid to purchase the refurbished version!

This thing sucks! (As it should!)
The media could not be loaded. This lil guy is quite the sucker. The kids named him Louie (Rosie is overrated hehe) and he is quite the little workaholic. I've had him for a week now and run him once a day and I don't understand where he picks up all this dust and dirt every day! But he's going strong so far. I bought a renewed one to test it and see if I liked it but really, Louie showed up as a new device. There's nothing that makes me think he's been renewed vs an original new one. He's thick enough to have a decent size bin (the first run it was stuffed to the gills) and the other times, still mostly full but not overly so. He's also thin enough to fit under my couch. He's a bit louder than I was expecting but he doesn't bother me. Except when he goes around and circles (literally) trying to get back to his dock, but that's not noise related, that's just him being aimless. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธLouie likes to play games (that's what I call them). My son's remote car track sits on the floor and I flung the controllers out of the way... Or so I thought. Left with him running and came home to the cable pulled out across the floor and Louie re-docked. I had to laugh. He has quite the little suction power to pull it out yet not damage it. :) Louie also pulled my laptop charger out from under the couch - I forgot I stashed it there until I found it moved to under my window. Lol. It's like he's a kid I gotta keep an eye on and it amuses me to see what shenanigans he gets into (so far that's it).I have manually controlled him with my phone and the remote separately. Partially just to see how it worked and how responsive he was. Both work well. I do like the different functions that has even though it does not have mapping. He is a random guy and just does what he wants. Sometimes I think he's drunk when I see the random patterns on my carpet. Only one room has carpet. The rest are all tile with area rugs. He does great with all of it. best money ever spent on a vacuum!I should add that I do not have any pets, aside from dust bunnies, and I have an 8-year-old son. One of his small Lego pieces did get scooped up too. Lol lesson learned for my kid! Louie doesn't discriminate. If it is in his path, it gets sucked up!

Cute but ineffective:Revision-It's a Turtle and hare story Eufy wins!
I've updated the review based on several months of service. I have 4 robotic vacuums, 1 four year old Roomba, still by far my favorite, two less than one year old Roombas 900 and 600 series. EUFY doesn't sound like it has as much suction as the Roombas but over time has become my second favorite Robotic vacuum. It gets the messiest room to clean every night. It launches and docks every night unlike my newer Roombas that fail 50% of the time. Eufy is easy to clean unlike the newer Roombas that piss me off trying to clean without making a big mess every day. My first Roomba is still my favorite, easy to clean, works and docks every time and rarely needs any special attention. The WAY less expensive Eufy is more reliable, less annoying, very quiet and gets the job done much better than either new Roomba.Original ReviewIt's cute, it's quiet, but compared to my 5 year old Roomba it doesn't suck and that's not a good thing. It does go forever but after the first hour it's not picking anything up and like my new Roomba 960 it's uptake path is flawed and typically jams with dust and dog hair long before the compartment is full. I like the two side brush concept but the one little uptake and weak suction make for a mediocre to bad cleaning. I paid three times the money for the Roomba 960 and only give it 3 stars because of the good suction but again the uptake path is narrow and clogs WAY more than my 5 year old Roomba I have come to appreciate much more after purchasing these two newer models now that I am retired and making dusty dog hair messes daily.OH, and the Eufy don't go here strategy fails as well. Roomba wireless much beter than taped own nonsense from Eufy.
