Smooth & stable
Finally spent the money to get this and very pleased with it! Wish I had gotten the 12โ one. Good quality and I am keeping it clean with a paper under each pottery piece whether working on greenware or glazing. So smooth and stable!

Totally worth it!
I have an art studio and have approximately 140 artists come through each week, we use these all the time. They are sturdy and great for our clay projects! Just donโt let clay pieces dry on them or they rust.

Turns smoothly
I love these banding wheels. It turns smoothly and it is a good height to do glazing and hand building work. I bought it because we have this in our ceramics studio. Now I have one for my home studio.๐

Small but Mighty
To be as small as it is (and btw, that was our choice... to get only a smaller wheel), it sure does a good job.The fact that it's SOLID and SUBSTANTIAL... that's just great... the heavier wheel like this keeps spinning longer than a lightweight wooden or plastic one...ANd that's just great when molding and sculpting bowls and things with that symmetric roundness best done on a wheel. Takes very little effort in the fingers to keep this bowl spinning.JUST PERFECT!

Almost perfect - versatile tool.
Great for most uses, I just wish it had a bit of a smoother spin to it, but that usually comes with a more expensive banding wheel I think - or maybe it just needs some WD40?

I'm using this for Acrylic Paint Spinning - Works Nicely for this Purpose
I've looked but was unable to find a tool that could be used for manually spinning acrylic fluid paintings. This will do the job for me but I did have to do some creative modification. I simply bought a package of 5 qty Paint sticks and used clips to attach them to the underside of the 7" table. The (18") paint sticks and clips provide extensions that can hold different sizes of (lightweight) canvases including square or circular shapes. Yes, kind of a "hokey" makeshift situation but it works just fine and meets my intended purpose of doing acrylic painting spin art. I'm also sure there are better ways or equipment, but this is something I could afford to do right now.Other things - I tried using Amazon's search for "spinner" but it wasn't very helpful until I thought to type in "Lazy Susan". I found this product is generally listed as a "cake turntable". Yes, it would work perfectly for that purpose (cake frosting and decorating), and also as a sculpting wheel. I hope this helps folks who are trying to find an inexpensive way to do acrylic painting spinning, or who just want a really good cake stand. :) Have a wonderful day Amazonians!

I don't know what it's for
Arrived intact and on time. It is a requested gift, and I really don't know what it is for. It is heavy if that's a consideration.
