I know this seems like an odd bulk buy. But somehow I kept losing the ones I had, and now that I bulk bought them, I haven't lost one since. I do like that these were the colors that I needed, which are also hard to find in a big box store. I would have preferred them to be a little bit wider, but they do the job that they need to do, and now I have plenty of them

This clip is shorter than the ones I used to get in a Goodie 3 pack (silver/gold/brownish colors). I lost my last one of the Goodie clips that I have bought for years and couldn't find the same ones anywhere. These are very similar but a little shorter (the length of my middle finger). I always had to bend the Goodie clips to hold my long hair and I had to bend this one also. My hair falls to about mid-back and is a little thin but I wind it in a ball and then clip it to my head. I was surprised the shorter clip actually held my hair (it would not have if I had not made the bend in the bottom part of the clip as seen in the picture). This is how I have used my Goodie metal hair clips for years. As someone noted in the comments, the edges are sharper than the old clips I used to get from the other manufacturer, so be careful. I painted a little clear nail polish along the edge to dull it down somewhat. Once it's in your hair, the somewhat sharp edges shouldn't be a problem in my opinion.

These are almost impossible to use because the sheet metal used is too heavy. They are not flexible enough to open and close as easily as they should be. I couldn't open the golden colored ones at all. I just got my fingers sore in the effort. I asked my husband to try and he was able to force open all but one of them. Utterly useless for hair.

Tight hold. Can't find these locally anymore... weird.
