Works perfectly win Debian GNU/Linux
It was time to renew my son's «workhorse laptop». He had a renewed Thinkpad X1 Carbon that lasted almost four year, so it was only natural to get him something a bit more powerful for college. I always get Lenovo Thinkpad X or T series for running Linux, as we don't care for Windows at all. This machine worked out of the box with Debian GNU/Linux 11 (it should be the same with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions).Machine was in good shape: no cracks, no dents, no sticker leftover. I very much appreciated that it had the latest BIOS update already loaded. All ports in working order, so we were able to plug it to an Ethernet network and external monitors immediately. Surprisingly powerful set of speakers, plus a headphone jack.It is powerful enough for document processing, internet browsing, computer programming, batch audio/video processing, and entry-level gaming (Minecraft, steam on Linux, Quake 3).If there was an option for pre-installed Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora laptops, I'd recommend this product to more people that want Linux-only affordable laptops, but don't know how to go about installing it.

Beware lapro refurbished laptops
The laptop arrived with a software lock which tells me the laptop is deauthorized from use. Amazon support and Lapro support have yet to address the issue. I'm two days into this time wasting frustration with a refurbished laptop that wasn't refurbished at all. There's a rootkit software in the bios that has seized control of the device. The software is from absolute software and it was installed by parkland hospital. This device was presumably resold from the parkland inventory but the security control wasn't removed. Nobody is interested in helping me resolve this as of yet.Update - they're sending a replacement laptop now. The price for the laptop was good, but somebody wasn't doing their job and I ended up spending a lot of time having to sort through the issue. I don't know if the resolution only happened because of my unfavorable review or not. Either way, it seems you get what you pay for, but at least they're willing to make it right in the end.

Work good as a video editor but the speakers are no good
Purchased this item, its not 14inches, everything seems good but from the moment I took it out the box the speakers are bad, reached out to the seller, been a week and no response. I am currently working on a 1080p edit and its handling it very well. Overall good value for the money (thank you seller) I need some resolve with this speaker issue, of course soon as I bought mine the price dropped

A wonderful company to work with
This is a very good product and the price was good. Abby's electronics is one of the best companies I've worked with and they went through and made sure everything was satisfactory with this purchase and even went over and beyond what they needed to to make sure I was satisfied and that really doesn't exist anymore but it does with the company. Thank you so very much.

Not Fully Refurbed
Nice laptop, was refurbed, but it came with blown speakers and no battery, and of course with my luck, the battery is about $71. I use it plugged in on the desk, with AC power and external speakers, it's a mighty little computer

Highly Impressed
I purchased this computer with an Intel i7 processor, and 12Gb ram. I got 16Gb of ram. May have been an accident but obviously I am very happy about it. Even if it was only 12Gb, I would still be impressed. I didn't realize that it was touch screen and that I can set up a fingerprint lock.

Sounds like a jet engine
I’ve reduced performance to 50% and it still sounds so loud. Really discouraging me from using the laptop for personal work.

Unreliable
The physical product looks new, the company did a good refurb job. The power supply and connector are packed nicely in plastic, the whole thing is shipped in a solid, sturdy packing that protects the unit. I haven't done any torture testing on the components, though there was a checklist saying everything had passed testing.I have operated the unit a few times, and it seems not to like playing videos. As a design issue, the builtin graphics are underpowered, though that isn't the fault of the refurbisher. However, it also seems to sieze up, the screen quits updating (the sound continues fine), and there's no way to control the video player except to Ctrl-Alt-Del, open the task manager, and terminate the process. This doesn't happen elswhere with this video player, even on my 10 year old Dell (that's still running W7) so it's something with this specific computer.I can't say for sure this unit is defective, I know Lenovos are famous for needing constant firmware updates (which I haven't done yet), and I need to make sure all the drivers are updated as well. If I discover a root cause, I'll update this review.
