Just what I was hoping for
This sunscreen is lightweight and is wearable under moisturizer and makeup, or all by itself in the sun. Non-greasy, it soaks into the skin and doesn't leave an oily look. It feels milky and soft. I definitely recommend this product.Lancer has done well.

Great travel sized sunscreen
I was impressed by Lancer's commitment to transparency, ethical ingredients, and ethical practices. Of course, that's not worth much if the resulting product is either not effective or lags the competition on performance. Happy to report that it performed as well as most of the other mineral suncreens around my house. While thin coming out of the tube, it applied thickly enough to feel protected but not so much that it took an impractical amount of time to work in.Finally, at 2 ounces this may not be the best value, but the small size makes it great to throw on your bag and have available on the road or in your carry on luggage during travel.

Watery
This Lancer Sun Shield is a very watery sunscreen. It has the consistency of milk and is so thin that it's going to be difficult for many people to apply without significant waste. I was quite surprised by the complete lack of viscosity here.Regardless of whether you like the other ingredients, this does contain zinc oxide, which in any significant amount leaves a white cast. I can visibly see this cast as I apply it to my skin, though the fact that this is nearly water means that it goes on so thinly it becomes unnoticeable. If this were in fact thickened in any way I'm afraid it would leave some serious white cast.As mentioned in another review, the box is sealed on top and is dated about 10 months out, but the bottom of the box is *not* sealed nor is there any seal on the neck or spout. The inside of the cap does have a tiny protrusion which plugs the dropper-like opening on the bottle to prevent leakage, but there's no true seal for those with concerns about tampering and safety. This wouldn't be an issue in a fancy boutique but via mail, eh.I was not able to test this in any significant way for sun protection because, well, it's January and I'm in the Midwest. What sun I have seen has been accompanied by bitter cold, so I am taking a hard pass on the outdoor activities right now. :)I'm going to stick to my current favorite SPF 50 sunscreen from Korea that has no cast and is priced at about 1/3 of this particular product.

Good sunscreen rating
I hadn’t used the Lancer brand before but was interested in trying it because of its good ratings from the Environmental Working Group. I’m not a scientist and don’t know what most of the ingredients in sunscreen are or do, which honestly scares me. On EWG, this sunscreen was rated a 2/10, with 1 being the best for your protection and the environment and 10 being the worst. That’s pretty good. The sunscreen absorbs into my skin quickly and easily, and it didn’t leave a greasy feel like most sunscreens. It also didn’t leave a white cast, which I really appreciate. Be careful opening the bottle and applying the sunscreen though, since it has a very thin consistency and you can easily spill the very expensive product!

Good quality
Lancer products tend to be good quality, this suncreen did a great job absorbing quickly and not leaving me feeling greasy or uncomfortable. I have sensitive skin and usually the ingredients in sunscreen moisturizers cause bad reactions, redness and irritation and this one did too but the reaction wasn't as strong.I do notice some pilling if I try to layer specific foundations over it, but it's not a lot.

Excellent sunscreen - absorbs quickly, mostly matte finish, perfect for reapplying, fragrance free
I used this sunscreen during an all-day outdoor event, and I love it, it worked great. The texture of the sunscreen is very liquid, it's very runny. But it made reapplying the sunscreen repeatedly throughout the day super easy.I didn't have a mirror, but the liquid spread easily and evenly all over my face. And it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave my skin oily, which is great.Once dry, it looks almost completely matte.I applied it four times over the course of the full day, and it still didn't feel heavy on my skin, and I still looked pretty fresh, not the greasy look i get from my usual face sunblock after multiple reapplications. It has no scent i can detect. It protected my skin from the sun - I wasn't burned at all.

Too watery
Way too watery. I don’t know if this is an imitation Amazon product or the real deal but it’s so watery, half of it goes into the sink before I can get it in my face. I’m really disappointed. I almost want to order one off the lancet website and compare.
