Great bit of kit
As always from platypus an excellent product. Nice and narrow so I’ll fit in bag large or small and you know it will not burst. Well worth the extra money.

Worth the extra money
This is far from the cheapest hydration bladder out there. But it really does not have the plasticky taste that many suffer with, the flow rate is good, and it doesn't have the huge bulky filling cap that many do. this means that I can fill it to about 700ml and fold the top over, so it fits into the small back pocket on my (smaller than most) hydration vest.

Wanted to like my second one
I had a platypus for YEARS and loved it. It gave up the ghost and i replaced with the updated one. Well, it's never stopped leaking on hikes. I kept trying it again and again hoping it was just me not tightening it up enough/ properly. It's not. I can't tighten it any harder and I go to the gym. And I have definitely not threaded it or anything like that. It's just a badly designed connection. I recommended my mate get one a few months later (despite my doubts on this one) - he did and it has a different connection head. Clearly been redesigned... new material, slightly different size etc. Obviously am too late to go back to the retailer so will contact platypus direct. Pity. For 15 years it was awesome. Hope they send me a new one i can keep using.

Leaking unit.
Had the product 34 days before I used for the first time. Upon filling found that there was as a leak near filler cap. Requested a replacement but was refused as I was out of the 30 day window.Repaired it myself by nipping the leaking area with narrow nose pliers and heating them carefully with a soldering iron.

Qualità costruttiva bassa
Sacca che purtroppo ha inziato a perdere nella saldatura della plastica dove é presente il tappo, la costruzione non é ben pensata e visto il costo elevato si trovano altre sacche più robuste ma anche più pesanti. Altra nota negativa é la mancanza di tappo sul beccuccio, facilmente sostituibile con altro Hydrapack.
